Ferry To Koh Phi Phi

Featured Replies

can someone please tell me when and where the ferry to koh phi phi leaves from (and time)?

what is the cheapest accomidation i'm likly to find on the island this time of year?

The boats leave from Ratsada Port in Phuket Town at about 8am.

And believe smartecosse - it will not be easy finding cheap accommodation in December. Your best bet will be to book your accommodation in advance from a tour shop.

try this

My two pence worth

Bout 6 weeks ago a bunch of us went to Phi Phi. I tried to buy the ticked the day before at the port. Way expensive and lots of sideways glances between the ticket sellers. My Thai GF was with me too. We ended up booking it at a tour shop in Phuket town which also included free mini bus pick up.

I ve since heard that it's a Mafia at the port and none of them will drop below a certain price.

any one else heard that?

Also to the original poster - you wont get anything cheap on Phi Phi in december but it depends on what you call cheap. Y'see - you might think 1000 b a night is cheap whereas i think its expensive !!

Good luck there in December - let me know if you see some Thai people.

I showed up at the pier at like 7:45 and there was a boat leavnig at 8:00am...but I ended up paying 1000 baht r/t for the ticket. Does anyone know where I can get the advertised tickets for 250 baht o/w? On Koh Phi Phi they sell o/w tickets for 350 baht, I'm told 50 baht goes towards the travel agency commission.

I even looked inside, and 250 baht tickets were no where to be found. It appears all the companies were charging either 600 baht o/w or 1000 baht r/t. The boat did have free soda and cookies on board tho!
