cheap boat trip in phuket?

Featured Replies

is there any boat trip in phuket for max 700 baht/person? cheaper would be better.

like 1-2 hours boat trip or something.

If you get a couple of people together you could make a trip by longtail to some of the islands close to Rawai.

How much are the ferries to the local islands?  You won't have the boat to yourself, but you could take a boat over to Koh Yao Yai or Noi and venture around, then take a boat ride back for probably less than your budget above.

A half day (about 4hr) longtail boat hire from Rawai beach is about 1,500 to 2,000 bahts to some of the southern islands.  One of these longtail boats can easily seat 6 persons.

Those are 120-200 baht per person one way.

Here is my trip report few years back https://oilinki.com/blog/koh-yao-yai

Boats from Bang Rong Pier.

You can bring your scooter along with the slower boats, it was B150 one way.
If you are not planning overnight trip, then it's easier to rent a scooter on the island.

If you are planning to ride a scooter without a helmet here, then please stay home.

If you are going to ride a motorbike without wearing a helmet, just buy a one way ticket.  You will not need a return ticket.

I'm guessing the rates are still about the same. It's a communal service for people who live on the islands. Speedboat takes 30 minutes, slower boat 1 hour or so.

Don't take the private speedboat offer, it can be expensive.

I don't remember seeing police on neither islands.

No facebook at least for now.

Is it safe to ride a bike without a helmet really has nothing to do with safety.
A helmet might save what's between the ears.
Not that there seems an awful lot to save.
