Miss Chonburi beauty contest brings glamor to Pattaya

PATTAYA: -- Number 6 Sudaporn Wongsasiriphat was crowned Miss Chonburi Grand in Pattaya yesterday.

 

Sudaporn - or Am - took the first prize of 30,000 baht cash and a years supply of fish collagen from the sponsors Colly Cally.

 

The contest was held at Central Festival Pattaya Beach. Contestants appeared in beachwear, and long and short evening wear attire, reported Pattaya News.

 

Coming in second was Sofo Chakgiyer who got a prize package worth 40,000 baht and third was Menaphicha Lao-arun with prizes totaling 20,000 baht.

 

There were twelve contestants.

 

Pattaya News said that the contest was held to promote tourism at the resort.

Only yesterday I thought I read that the beauty contest for Songkran in Khao San Road was not to be allowed.  No consistency anywhere for anything in Thailand.

I have certainly created a problem for myself. Corneas replaced with new lenses. Now I can see there are even more cute Thai girls at a distance. Of course any closer than an am's length and I need reading glasses to check out the particulars!!!
