Can someone such as Ubon Joe please quickly confirm the requirements for Penang? It's still possible to get multiple entry visas there right?

I'm told I need the following:

Copy of Passport

Copy of wife's ID

Copy of wife's house book

Copy of marriage certificate + original

Is that all?

Also need to show proof of funds, I believe it was 100,000 baht before, is that still the case? And will an updated kasikorn bank book suffice as proof?

I did search the forums but couldn't find any no clear answers in the recent posts...

Thanks!

Your list is correct. Copies of house book and ID card must be signed by your wife.

But they now want to see 400k baht in the bank now or proof of income. The funds do not have to be in a Thai bank

Unless you have gotten a multiple entry non-o before they may only issue a single entry the first time.

I was in Penang just the other week, I posted a report that I thought was clear. Yes all the items you list, have the wife sign the copies of her ID, Tabian Bahn and the marriage certificate and you'll need proof of 400k.  Thai bank book recently updated is fine, my balance was below 400k so I added my latest bank statement from Singapore.

Can the 400K in the bank requirement be in a joint account with one's legally married  Thai wife?

For a visa application if can be used.

For an extension at immigration the answer would be no.

Re the 400k, can this be:

equivalent currency in an account outside Thailand evidenced by a bank statement?

Or can proof of income outside Thailand also be used, if so, do I need a stat dec from embassy or will payslips suffice?

Currently outside of Thailand and would like to get the 12 month multi entry spouse visa straight off the bat.

It can be an equivalent of 400k baht in a bank outside Thailand.

Pay slips have been accepted according to some reports to show at least 40k baht income.

I've previously just included a printout of my most recent Singapore or UK bank statement, doesn't have to be a Thai bank account.
