"Brave" New Browser

Featured Replies

I D/L this on Saturday and its the fastest browser I have ever used. You dont need addblock

when using this browser. It was developed by one of the original founders of Firefox.

Interesting....Brave is a Chromium-based browser.  I don't say that negatively as Chrome is my primary browser.   Understandable Brave is based on Chromium open code....and also understandable with the high and continuing to rise popularity of Chrome that the new browser is Chromium-based.

Hmm, yea Brave is a good browser, I used it briefly over the last few days. However there are some concerns about the security aspect of it. I was doing some reading about the security of chrome here. It seems that chrome has good security. Does anybody have experience with comparing Chrome and Brave?

I dont like Chrome because it tends to take control of your computer.

I have been using Brave for a few days no & I like it No Adds and very fast.

I`ve just installed Brave. So far it`s super fast and many sites that have been blocked by the police on firefox, chrome and I.E, they haven`t got around to blocking on Brave yet.

If it can keep up the high speeds I might consider making Brave my default browser.

Slimjet's another good chromium based browser. Faster than chrome and has  built-in downloader for YT vids.

Can you give an example of such blocked sites.    Would like to try to open them with Chrome and IE just to confirm it's browser related versus something else on your upstream end.

Browsers generally don't block websites; instead its usually something upstream such as your internet provider, DNS service not finding the web address, a firewall or extension you are using, etc.

been using it for a few of my everyday sites where i post on threads, for Facebook its ok, but no flash for Facebook games pet rescue etc.
