Any recommendations for reasonably priced Seafood Restaurants and traditional Thai restaurants in Chaweng or anywhere on the island fo that matter. Also any good live music restaurant/pubs preferably with Philippino bands.

baang po seafood restaurant,baang po.

go through maenaam towards nathon, about 1/4 mile before the hill over the cape that takes you down and into nathon you will come to it ,its on the beach,and its good.authentic thai food and authentic thai service....very slooooooow.

uncle nois restaurant maenaam....good thai and seafood.

the food at zazen bungalows,bo phut...good thai dishes but catering more for the western palate.

the noodles at the restaurant on the seafront in nathon, come off the boat jetty and go right about 100 yds.just dont get into conversation with the singaporean owner,he will talk you to death.

gingpagarang seafood,on the beach near baang pang ka, brings new meaning to the words rustic and laid back, fabulous view and great food,the best on the island i think,should be a "must" for the "atmosphere" alone.unchanged in any way for about 25 years . the menu makes a good read too, havent seen that kind of english since the bungalow days of the 80"s.

its a very strange place,the staff especially so,some people we took there found it spooky, but for a slow lunch with a fabulous view,especially if there is a storm coming in,its unbeatable.take your camera.service as slow as it gets.

lots of touristy places too,with good food, but you feel as if you are in spain or italy or florida.

big johns seafood not far from nathon have live music, food not the greatest but good fish and chips uk style. outdoor beach atmosphere. very popular with visitors.

WILL WAIT RESTAURANT IN NATHON WILL CHARGE FALANGS MORE THAN THAIS FOR THE SAME DISH !!!!!

The best Philipino band in Thailand (arguabely) plays in Lamai beach. The location always changes but if you have seen them you will know who I mean. They have names like 'baby' on their guitars and are 3 girls with a couple guys. They play hard rock and put on ana amazing show. Highly recommended.
