Nev, i agree it would be the way to do it, but it wont happen. You are talking about the whole country ceasing to drink 'Red Bull' for it to have any real effect on the company. Most of the Thai people dont know or care who 'Boss' i, or what he's done. And the Thais would soon get fed up with the boycott, because "it taste so good"Do you really think that anyone will have the guts to shut down the company? the people who did it would be in fear of their lives. We are talking about probably the wealthiest family/company in Asia.Their protection stretches far into other countries also, even to the UK i think, who do you think is looking after him whilst he is poncing around the globe? Its a nice idea, your rationale, but it aint got a chance of becoming reality. A few people in Thailand not buying Red Bull won't bother the company in the slightest, and the rest of the world doesn't actually give a rat's fart about this. Thailand and what happens there really is of no importance at all to the rest of the world, despite the locals believing otherwise. The world media has done their one story on it, and has moved on. They keep drinking it even though it kills people...another Australian teenager died last weekend after consuming an "energy drink" ( she took a six-pack to a sleepover party). This stuff is dangerous and yet it is unregulated. Full of sugar and caffeine and some secret ingredients ....but the marketing hype/BS gives a different message. I am waiting with keen anticipation for Interpol to be informed officially and for his passport to be cancelled. I will not however, be holding my breath on those two things. tukkytuktuk
The current status quo want to be careful that they don't push the Red Bull family to much. One billionaire in self exile is enough to contain but 2 Thai billionaires might be too much. A vested interest in wanting family members back home in Los could bring back a 3rd round of protests. Be careful.

Although not publically declaring for either side, Chaleo Yoovidhya's buddy, Yan Bin, a Chinese national with ties to Thailand, who owns half the Red Bull franchise in China due to his Yoovidhya connections, is also very close to Thaksin, and was semi tongue in cheek known as the Thai Rak Thai Party's representative in Beijing during the early 2000's. Given the nouveau riche status of the family, and the closeness of Chinese business associations, it would be surprising if they leaned to the yellow side. Also don't forget who was PM at the time the hit and run occurred when he was first allowed to escape charges. https://www.weekinchina.com/2010/04/thais-that-bind/
