Private School – For Our 8 Yr Son- In Bkk?

Featured Replies

Hi,

My name is Henk, we are looking for a (private) school in Bangkok for my son, he’s 8 years old.

He speaks now some thai and some english, and will the next months learn more about these languages.

We will move to Bangkok (from Holland) next april.

I read a lot of information now on this forum, but couldnt find information about a school we are looking for.

My wife/his mother is original thai, but now she have the dutchnationality, and lived in holland for ten years. Our son is born in holland, but he looks 90m % as a foreigner. (very white andso)

We want to go live in thailand for a lot of reasons (family of my wife, the allknown possitive things in thailand, but, forall, we’ll expected is good for our son. His character is much more thai then dutch, and w’ll think he will liked it here very, very much. (if not, we go back asap)

We well know not everything in thailand is good. (where is?)

I (52 years) work now and here in Holland ( and also when I am in thailand) with laywers, by the internet. So its for me not important where I live ( in bangkok)

So, we would start to find a good school, (its positive when there already some ‘’falang’’, and a neighbourhood, not to industrial, and then start looking for a nearby apartment.

The international school is ( to ) expensive, and, also for other reasons we have now chosen for a private (bilingual) school. But ther are many of those schools, a lot of information is on the internet, and I ‘ll visit some schools. But which ones???

So I hope that there is some experiences –hopely- from some thailandforum-members.

So, if someone have experience with a school (in-/direcly) of other information, it will be great.

Ofcourse, I will also if I can add information and so (now/later) to help members in reverse.

Gr

Henk
