" Membership applications at Mar-a-Lago surged after Trump was elected, leading the club to double its initiation fee to $200,000 this year. As president, Trump no longer runs his real estate and hotel business, but he continues to own Mar-a-Lago and his other properties."     https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/ticket-prices-go-up-for-trumps-very-glam-new-years-eve-bash-at-mar-a-lago/2017/12/30/a6f6fb08-ecbf-11e7-9f92-10a2203f6c8d_story.html?utm_term=.120c73450e21

" Trump’s 2017 travel costs topped $6 million for Mar-a-Lago alone, according to a Wall Street Journal tally. That included just airfare, not the cost of protection from the Secret Service, which received congressional approval to raise its cap on overtime and salaries after the first family’s travel schedule drained the agency’s budget early. On at least 38 weekends, he visited at least one his properties."    http://www.wtsp.com/news/nation-world/president-trump-tracking-weekend-visits-properties-first-year/509403896

It isn't easy to find out how much the Secret Service pays to stay at Trump properties, but it isn't cheap and Trump doesn't let them stay for free.

Up to you, but IMO your wasting your time with certain posters

Now we know who the troll (sic) are. :stoner:

It's really not surprising that trump attracts so much troll content from it's supporters. Because trump is a troll himself. Our first ever troll president. Perhaps the greatest troll in the history of the world. I'll give credit to that as an accomplishment, but really, as president? It's not impeachable to be a troll president probably because nobody thought we'd ever have one!

The best thing about this forum is the ignore feature - when I suss the lefty loons I block them, I have zero interest in conversing with them as I find their agenda so out of line with mine and my children, occasionally I’ll unblock for entertainment.

The best thing is their agenda and PC crap is dying, our youth are more conservative than our generation and I’m pleased with our President and his Supreme Court choices to date -hopefully more to come.

Thanks for the advice. I am a bit disappointed with being only halfway there with you. I will work on my sarcasm and hopefully reach second base with you at a later date....:giggle:

By the way, how's the impeachement process going?

Comedic comebacks is another thing you might wanna work on.

The fact is, more young people identify as Democrat than Republican. But even among Republican youth, Trump is losing support:

“As the Trump presidency hits the one-year mark, the Republican Party confronts a yawning generational gap that has been exacerbated in recent months by Trump’s incendiary comments on race-related issues and the party’s official support for an accused child molester in Alabama’s Senate race.

Now, as few as a quarter of voters under the age of 30 approve of Trump’s job performance. And among young Republicans, Trump’s approval rating has plummeted 12 percentage points since the spring, according to Harvard’s Institute of Politics poll released last month, down to 66 percent. That’s certainly robust, but well below Trump’s overall GOP approval rating that hovers around 80 percent.”

Nope. He won with the whites. His entire brand is white resentment. But it's all a con to siphon money from all the "under" classes to his billionaire buddies.

Is that according to polls that Trump and his supporters don’t believe in unless when it suits them?

He won the white male vote by a large margin. The White female vote by a smaller margin. The evangelical vote despite being a famous wife cheating philanderer because he supported the two things they care about most: curtailing women’s right to choose and keeping America Christian. His genius, if you can call it that, was the willingness to unabashedly exploit white racial anxiety.

Demographically, America is relentlessly turning brown. That scares some people. The anxiety is understandable. The unwillingness or inability to see Trump for the unqualified buffoon that he is, is a little harder to understand.

So you don't challenge all the time and taxpayer money spent at Trump resorts, you just claim, without proof that all those golfing trips were deal making meetings with important people.  I assume you also believe that his "executive time" watching television is research.

BTW, how many deals have been closed, or even initiated, in Trump's first year?

So in other words, you are not happy with the direction the US is going demographically, but when Trump want to do something about, it's also not to your likening.

Could it be that you are just not happy with your life?

Humor break but based on true facts.

It's still hard to accept and believe that this ridiculous person is president.

So? He hired a porn star to spank him while married to his third wife. “Big deal,” say the family values evangelicals. “Was he wearing a tan suit at the time? If not, it’s not a scandal.”

It says a lot about you that you think that's what Thakkar meant.  But nothing about Thakkar.  Here again is what he wrote:

"Demographically, America is relentlessly turning brown. That scares some people. The anxiety is understandable."

I don't see any indication of his unhappiness there.

"If Trump isn’t mentally ill, but is just a bad person, I have to wonder what that says about his followers. There has to be an ultimate political reckoning for those behaviors—hopefully, one that ends with Trump not just being removed from office, but also held accountable for alleged crimes and betrayals."

Yeah, I've felt for a long time now that the "crazy" label is too kind for him. I see him as a totally corrupt EVIL conman. His supporters winning power are often extremely nasty and mean spirited as well. Many of them dehumanize all minorities, women, and all people that oppose trump, like has happened in so many similar sick movements in history. The USA may have been divided before but this is now TOXIC. Definitely the most dangerous and damaging American political movement in my lifetime and it's only been a year. The really scary part is that trump represents this political sickness as a very visible clownish SYMPTOM but a more serious fundamental sickness among the American people will be much harder to heal from, even after the trump mistake goes away, sooner or later.

But of course it's obviously an objective fact that trump is mentally bizarre. That's not the same thing as insane. No reason a person can't be both mentally bizarre and evil.

Let's break this down.

Unqualified? Objective verifiable fact.

Wife cheating philanderer? Objective verifiable fact.

Buffoon? Widely held opinion from the left, middle, and right, but more subjective.

Not only is what you say untrue & childish but racist as well

Yet if it were the previous president of the United States & someone said ..."Nope. he won the blacks<sic>..His entire band is black resentment"

You would be calling it racist ...which it is as is your statement

And wilfully trolling.....'wilfully ignorant', in case you're not aware falls under the umbrella of trolling, something you do often.

As for the Washington Post as a source.....excuse me!

Your President said ", "I don't even wait. And when you're a star, they let you do it, you can do anything... grab them by the ****y."  His words not an insult, he bragged about it.

As to belittling your President, it would  be impossible ,to disparage, denigrate, rundown, deprecate, or  make people think less of him.  He does a great job of doing it to himself.
