Jimi007 Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 My power stayed on all through last night's storm with all the wind, rain and lightning. The rain stops as does the wind and then my power goes out about 1 PM for over three hours. It came on for a few minutes after two hours and then out for another hour. Rawai cable is still down.
madmax2 Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 power has been of twice in the last few days, once for shifting power poles at chalong circle and the second time to fix high power overhead lines at cape promthep Rawai cable is down every time they have a power outage, to stingy to buy their own generator for their claimed 24 hour, TV service
Jimi007 Posted June 23, 2017 Author Posted June 23, 2017 Power out again in my place in Rawai. Went out last night about 1 AM too. Oh well at least it's not hot and we have a nice candle light ambiance!Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa Connect

I am sure Rawai would be among the top 10 worldwide if you don't consider the cuts less than 30 minutes. This morning outage for more than 4 hours, now still a little bit on, but surely not 230 V Its like someone of a bicycle producing electricity
chercheur888 Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 To complete the picture, this morning for only the fifth time in the last 48 hours, the same transformer near the house blew up again. All appliances love to get for a few hours only between 100 and 240V up and down.
Jimi007 Posted July 3, 2017 Author Posted July 3, 2017 Update! The power will be off in the Soi Cokmakham area and maybe beyond at 9 AM on 4 July, 2017. A truck with PA speakers came around the neighborhood about 5 PM this afternoon announcing the power cut. Charge your devices and fill up your reserve water storage! I just hope it doesn't rain all day as well! Cheers! Jimi
