Please, close down the entire RTP, they are just embarrassing, rebuild a newly structured force based on professionalism, displayed knowledge and capability and displayed superior track record - superior performance.

It is just a joke. Transfer and forget about it. These officers should be sacked and face criminal charges. But will never happen.

Look at it from the positive side. These days they are transferred to an inactive/unattractive position, 10 years ago they would have been moved to an even more lucrative position. Plus they are being investigated.

Better yet, impose a mandatory retirement for cops  45 years and older, let the young guns come into play, they are tech saavy,  modern thinking, may make a difference.  Also a total ban on nepotism - appointing family members as 'Policeman/Women', make them all earn their way into the force.:post-4641-1156694572:

A few management skills wouldn't go amiss, either.

My thinking exactly. Some people on here bleat when the cops do nothing, then bleat again when they DO do something. Just no pleasing some. Its a  shame that stories aren't followed up more as they would be in the western press.

The big thing here is the loss of face associated with being moved and the fact that mud will always stick now, even if not prosecuted. Also brown envelopes will now have dropped off for them.

Look at the Bkk Chief and his 'consultancy fee' that quickly went away- he saw no conflict of interest whereas we would.

Reform of the RTP has to be an evolutionary, not revolutionary move as graft is so endemic its not even regarded as wrong.

Its baby steps at the moment but there seems to be a move afoot, both from the Gov't and social media to embarrass them into taking action. Something is better than nothing.

Completely destroying such an infrastructure could never happen- look at the chaos which ensued when the police, government and  military in Iraq were dissolved in one fell swoop. In hindsight everyone knows this was wrong and the Coalition WERE warned not to do it but didn't listen.

Sometimes the bad pennies are needed to maintain momentum whilst reform is conducted. They can either be discarded or converted in time.
