Yes, the vagaries of the local Immigration procedures is always a bit of a challenge. If nobody comes up with the specifics here, I suggest you drop by their office and ask directly. The Udon IO has a printed flyer available at the front door that details what is needed for the usual stuff like extensions and reporting. Maybe their counterparts in Khon Kaen do the same?

Unfortunately, the flyer is about the only thing that the Udon IO does properly. They must have the biggest desk top tip jars after Nong Khai. From what I have heard, the Khon Kaen office are a much more pleasant team to deal with.

Good luck.

A Rough Guide.

(1) The alien has obtained a temporary visa (NON-IM)

(6) In case of marriage with a Thai lady, the husband who is an alien must have an average annual income of not less than 40,000 baht per month or a money deposit in a local Thai bank of not less than 400,000 baht for the past 2 months for expenses within a year.

Letter from your Thai Bank showing balance and up to date bank book.

OR.

If income from outside Thailand: Letter from your Embassy showing income. Now may also need proof of income as back up.

If Income from Thailand: Statements showing Income Tax receipts.

Marriage Certificate. (Kor Ror 3)

Marriage Registry entry. (Kor Ror 2)

Wife's Tabbien Baan and ID Card.

Your Passport.

Copies of everything.

Photos of you and your Wife in and around the house.

A map showing the way to your house.

Passport size photos and 1,900 Baht fee.

Take your Wife to be interviewed.

One or two witnesses may be required.

You will be given a 30 day under consideration stamp.

Go back in a month and get the remainder.

Even though it is specific about KK I move this to the Visas forum leaving a link in the Isaan forum.

The experience for different offices are in the Visas forum.

I can not help as I do retirement extension only (simple).

I went through some threads from 2015/2016.

Compared to @Phuket Man's description there is not much to add except that the witnesses WILL be required for the first application based on marriage.

Would you apply based on 400k deposit in the Thai bank account or based on income?

Do you have children with your Thai wife?

Would open another account and put 450k in it for immigration purposes. Yes have children. I am planning on going down to immigration and get exact requirements tomorow. If i get a straight answer will post the lust.

Went to immgration asked girl outside for a list of requirements for said Extension. Waited outside for a couple of minutes. Out she came and explained they dont have a list.  Bring in all your documents! They will tell you if somethings missing.! Think I'll stick to Non O far simpler.

Thanks @Phuket Man.  For your input but as you wrote general requirements. Looking for exact requirements for Khon Kaen.

Those were the requirements for Khon Kaen. Give or take any small changes they might come up with.

They are very friendly and you should not have a problem.

There is no specified size in the rules. Some offices want them to be individual standard sized photos (5 X 6 or 5 X 7 inch) while other allow them to be printed on a A4 sheet with more than one per sheet. I print the 4 photos my local office wants on two sheets for my extension.

From the nearest main road or street.

Is it ok to print from google maps or map has to be drawn by hand?

It depends upon the office where you apply for the extension. Some will accept a Google map while other want it to be done by hand.
