Man electrocuted for the sake of a few hundred baht

Not necessarily that it's greed. Is the youth, lack of education and poverty. Poor guy.
We need to find those who invented it and punish.
The whole story reminded me of a passage in a book of some English author: as the rich in the omnibus said that if a beggar boy will not leave, they will give him a coin.
Very sad.

What a tragic waste of a young life.
Yet again you see greed overcoming any thoughts about safety.

Yes, likely coupled with pure ignorance of electrical, especially those "big wires high up on poles" .

Nice gesture to give the family the money their son died for

A better gesture would be to award the survivors the entire amount promised.

I am so sad for him and his family.  I think it is fair to say, "NEED" instead of "GREED".

What greed can do to men....

It's sad that a man is so poor that he's prepared to risk his life for a not huge, even to a Thai, potential payday.

20 years old....what a waste and so sad.

Ignorance of the danger of electricity, so remote from that 2 pin wall socket, may well have been a factor.

Muppet ? whats that ? He was just a guy with no knowledge of the danger involved ,in collecting his pot of Gold .

High voltage cables, give it a rest man, and while we are at it he was not alone, a whole cast of MUPPETS

Have a nice day

There are those in Thailand for who a few hundred Baht is a real lifesaver.

Worth  loosing your life for.

Just be glad if you are not one of them.

Well he did have 2000 Baht to hire a vehicle didn't he? I feel for the people your refer to (I don't think this guy was one of them though).

Would be an even nicer gesture for the company that released the balloons to give the family the promised 9,999 baht.

Good PR and good for the family. Not sure if companies do things like that in Thaialnd.

What 9,999 baht, do you think Thai companies are stupid?

Completely agree. I know people who have to get by with a 5,000THB-bucks a month (not a day), and we start nagging in the rare case our monthly wad is less than 6 digits or so...

Think you made that point clear in your previous post, and you did infer your interest in the price - so what's the  problem?

Pretty rough but I once saw an enormous punch up of nearly 250,000 people one day on the outskirts on Bangkok. I just got bigger and bigger, over 100,000 people died after they got beat up and that was only after an argument broke out about 2 Baht 50 Satang.

Not to mention utter stupidity!

You think greed and stupidity is all to it. ? What about need for a lot of extra cash to this family, to you it's nibbits with a monthly income of 6 or 7 digits.
