BANGKOK, 10th June 2017 (NNT) – Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha has assured the visiting Spanish Ambassador of the government’s commitment to following the reform plan.

Outgoing Spanish Ambassador to Thailand Maria del Carmen Moreno Raymundo paid a courtesy call on the Thai premier at Government House on Friday.

Gen Prayut told the ambassador that Thailand is determined to maintain its strong ties and cooperation with Spain in all respects.

The two parties discussed several matters including economic partnerships, trade and investment, the Eastern Economic Corridor project, anti-illegal fishing, and exchanges of technology and innovations.

The prime minister expressed the hope that Thailand and Spain would soon sign a memorandum of cooperation on the development of the fishing industry.

Gen Prayut also confirmed that the Thai government will strictly follow its reform roadmap and return democracy to the people.

In response, Ms. Raymundo praised Thailand’s efforts to achieve sustainability, expressing her confidence that Thailand will play a paramount role in the development of ASEAN and the strengthening of relations between ASEAN and Europe.

At an undisclosed time depending on how peaceful things are.

the only problem with that is that the road map is constantly being updated i think they got the idea from Garmin

Well that means the local youth unemployment with soon it 25% then and you will be asking for a bail out from the EC

If Spain is getting involved in any way with the Thai fishing industry, that should finish off what's left of the fish stocks in Thai and adjacent waters...

and to try and get the English fellow deported back to Thailand?

Is it unusual for Ambassadors' to meet with a Prime Minister if they are leaving their post?

Big sigh of relief from Spain now that is confirmed.

Assurances that the Thai government will adhere to the road map.

Only problem is they have nobody that can read maps.:cheesy:

It's a very winding road.
