rooster59 Posted June 10, 2017 Share Posted June 10, 2017 PM assures Spain of Thai Govt’s adherence to roadmap Thammarat Thadaphrom BANGKOK, 10th June 2017 (NNT) – Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha has assured the visiting Spanish Ambassador of the government’s commitment to following the reform plan. Outgoing Spanish Ambassador to Thailand Maria del Carmen Moreno Raymundo paid a courtesy call on the Thai premier at Government House on Friday. Gen Prayut told the ambassador that Thailand is determined to maintain its strong ties and cooperation with Spain in all respects. The two parties discussed several matters including economic partnerships, trade and investment, the Eastern Economic Corridor project, anti-illegal fishing, and exchanges of technology and innovations. The prime minister expressed the hope that Thailand and Spain would soon sign a memorandum of cooperation on the development of the fishing industry. Gen Prayut also confirmed that the Thai government will strictly follow its reform roadmap and return democracy to the people.
