anyways after taking a few digs and making fun of our Beloved PM, I got to watch some of Lumyai live concert videos recently just to see whats up. 

 

After reviewing the videos, this is what I think

She is only 17 and yes too young to be gyrating her hips like having intercourse on stage.

 

Leave this kind of dance and image to the adults above 21. 

 

I kinda agree with the PM on this one. Lumyai is too young to be sold in this kind of image, and it would be a bad example for other kids and teenagers her age..

It's not which century I am in. Have you look at the videos? originally I thought Lumyai was a 21 year old and over adult doing her thing.

 

But once I learnt of her age 17 years old. I can sincerely say, its really not appropriate for a minor to present herself in this manner. 

 

I was a Musician (guitarist) before, and play in quite a few Thai Bands myself. In Pattaya and Bangkok. Play with quite alot of Thai musicians in Thai clubs, venues and concerts, and maybe some of you might have seen me before in Bangkok Beat or climax, or 1 of the venues in Pattaya. 

 

I was thinking the PM was wasting his time here on this issue, but honestly after watching Lumyai's video, even if I don't like the PM at all, I have to agree with him on this one. 

 

True 1 might say, there are tons of other teenagers doing the same thing at other concerts so its normal. What is normal doesn't mean it is ok. 

 

The song that Lumyai is famous for right now, is telling a message to other teenage girls that to hell with studies, lets find the next high and next concert and I'll be there partying. 

 

I am a musician and usually quite open to entertainment and really i would say enjoy life to the fullest. But let's leave the adult entertainments to the adults. I am a freethinker, have no religion and love a joint now n then to chill and relax. Don't get me wrong, I am ok with adults making an informed choice if they choose to work in a gogo bar or strip club. 

 

But If you can tell me that it is ok for an UNDERAGE MINOR to dance like she is having sexual intercourse on stage and promote herself on media and influence all other teenage girls as well. Then OK I will take it that I am in the 17th and you are in the 21st century where it is ok to exploit underage teenage girls for sex and tell them it is ok not to study and fxxx it all.

Two things: firstly, this kind of dancing isn't particularly new, or modern, or Western; George Orwell has a scene in Burmese Days (1934) where a Burmese girl does a twerking act during a traditional  Burmese "pwe"; secondly, some middle class Thais just have juvenile minds; I sat behind a couple during a ballet performance and they couldn't stop giggling every time the female dancers raised their legs.

Yes i have heard of gangsta rappers b4. So in you words it is ok to make money off exploitation? 

 

It was only recently, an underage teenage prostitution ring was caught involving police and government officials in Mae Hong Son.

Everywhere else in most of civilised countries we have laws against underage minors sex. It is known as statutory rape or Pedophilia. 

 

Should we support gangsta rappers or underage suggestive sex acts like Lumyai? 

 

Like I say, if you are an adult over 21 years of age and you would like to make an informed choice about listening to gangsta rap and going to an strip club where at least the woman are of 21 years. then ok go ahead. Its fine. 

 

But if our sons were to listen to these gangsta rap songs, wouldnt it be better if we could be there with him to guide him what's the reality of being a gangster?

 

If our teenage daughter is listening and watching miley cyrus or Lumyai whole day, wouldn't it be better for Mum to keep an eye on her so that our daughters don't start getting on camfrog and start stripping and gyrating for the webcams for millions of sick pedos preying on minors out there????

 

I have no qualms about ARTS and music advancement. I am just not for underage sex exploitation. By the way it is going. in the 22nd century, it would be ok for 10-12 years old to start stripping and gyrating like having sex and making music about having sex with guys and its cool not to have an education and partying all night long. 

Look at the Lumyai's videos and listen to her lyrics. If you cannot understand them, get a Thai person to explain to you what her lyrics in her hit Song meant. 

 

I am reading Thaivisa comments on this issue and many have failed to notice her young teenage minor age of 17. Which means she was already doing this since 16 or even younger. She can be rich, but she is being exploited and she is influencing alot of young thai girls out there. We know the state this country is in, I am not kidding myself. But really... it that ok???

 

If you really support pedos and say it is ok for Lumyai and her manager to exploit teenage minors underage sex image, then go ahead.

1. How old is Lumyai? 17. 

2. Is 17 still a minor in Thailand? Yes

3. Does Ballet requires 1 to perform gyrating hips like sexual intercourse ontop on a guy? No.

4. Did Lumyai perform these suggestive sexual acts on top on of guys and man in concerts? Yes.

5. Lumyai's famous Song lyrics are about not there's no point getting educated. Go find a guy. Party everyday and everywhere. 

 

There is no classical roots whatsoever in her music and image even if the backing music is lukthung.

If tell me that's ok. then Ok I take it you support underage teenage minors sex and their exploitation. 

 

I admit even I was thinking the PM is micromanaging everything and got more important issues at hand. But Isn't underage teenage sex exploitation a major issue in this country?

 

It was just not too long ago, I've seen many in this forum against the sick individuals of the Mae Hong Son underage teenage girls prostitution ring.
