Tourist police have arrested a Thai man who has allegedly been stealing from passengers at Suvarnabhumi Airport.

Tourist Police Maj Gen Prasert Ngernyuang announced the arrest of Wallop Kheedkhian at a press conference at the Tourist Police head office.

Prasert said tourist police had received complaints from both Thai and foreign travellers at the airport about valuables being stolen while they waited for flights.

Prasert said police investigated and learnt that the thief was Wallop. They tracked and arrested him at a room in City Residence condominium on Vibhavadi Rangsit Soi 16.

Prasert said Wallop has stolen valuables from passengers at least six times.

Probably couldn't keep up with mortgage payments and car installments at the same time...

If wallop is the lad with t-shirt on. The other guy is guilt for something too. All on the eyes.

Tourist Police Maj Gen Prasert Ngernyuang aka Flash Bang is actually stressing a point to a colleague about Wallop, hence the rather focused eyes.

If you are around Suvarnabhumi over the next couple of days beware speeding taxis, rushing to return bags stuffed full of cash and jewelry to the careless foreigners who left them on the back seat!

not enough details; how did he go about stealing ? what kinds of valuables ?

Again. Can't remember how long ago the last such report was.

Quite simple: people are under stress, distracted by the check-in procedure.

Let their bags unattended.

Good chance for pilferers.

And the top of the line smartphone payments too.

Again, half a report.

"""How""" did he steal ?

Why only half a report ?

Has the "reporter" only been half-trained ?

No no, needed the money to buy milk for his baby!

Best airport in the World ?

Ok, so he was arrested.  How did he go about his thefts?  Was he employed at the airport or just hanging around waiting for an opportunity?  If employed, in what capacity?

Why are Thai news reports so incomplete?

His mistake was to steal from Thais as well as foreigners. Otherwise his actions would probably been ignored as foreigners could only apply limited pressure on a lethargic police force (unless of course the price was right).

was this guy employed at security check points that the details are so hushed up?...why not include full details?...scared for libel from his boss?...after all there have been issues of airline security people stealing, worldwide!!

you mean like the sick buffalo or the leaky roof?!!:post-4641-1156694606:....

many of my friends in love with brasilian meeows claim the issue of the last passport, as a well known scam amongst those fine ladies of Recife/Brasil,...sort of equivalent of Isaan.....

when hubby leaves the kitty fest to go back home, shortly later his champion will claim having lost her passport and ask (usually around US$ 2000,-- to get a new one and cover the travel expenses....whatever....after all it is legitimate to try to make a living...but not acceptable to become a fool!!
