June 23, 20178 yr Exports for May highest in 52 months BANGKOK: -- Thailand’s export figures for May this year rose to record high in a period of the past 52 months, prompting commerce officials to predict over 10% growth in export value for the whole year. Ms Phimchanok Worn-Khorporn, the director of the Office of Policy and Strategic Trade with the Ministry of Commerce, revealed that exports for May of this year amounted to US$19.944 billion which represents a 13.2% growth. She said the export figure is the highest in a period of 52 months. Meanwhile imports on the other hand also grew by 18.2% amounting to US$19 billion contributing to a surplus of US$944 million for the country. June 23, 20178 yr This may be true, but somehow it doesn't add up for me......one month all of a sudden has record exports? when almost since the the time of the junta taking over, there have been nothing but falls!
