Programming classes

I'm preparing for retirement in a couple of years and thought i might pick up some programming skills, possibly to freelance in future. I have an engineering background and can write visual basic. However i think web/app development skills are more marketable these days. Anyone know of a good place to attend classes in the weekends? Thanks.

Unless you need actual hand-holding, there are tons on ONLINE COURSES ...and some of the self-guided ones are free.
