A New Ransomeware on the loose :(

Featured Replies

Switched on this morning and got this alert from Advanced System Care:-

GoldenEye-Petya.JPG.8fae862cc733017c5b21947278c56791.JPG

Did a scan with ASC and it was clear.

Did a scan with Super AntiSpyware and it had a "Petya" variant in update, so they seem to be aware of the new threat.

Also M$ Security Essentials gave several important updates this morning. Maybe just a coincidence.

So be careful out there.

There is a new one...10Bit told me it was covered...

Same as in the articles. Based on NSA “Eternal Blue” leaked code.  Petya, NotPetya.  It's the whatever  ransomeware virus.  Pay up.

Oh, sorry, our ISP cancelled our embedded linked email account so we can't send you the recovery code you already paid for.
