Android Samsung Full screen ad every 2 minutes

Featured Replies

I'm having a problem with my Samsung Android phone. Something has infected it. Every couple of minutes the phone stops and displays a full screen advertisement. I cannot go any further without closing the ad. Two minutes later another one pops up. It doesn't matter if I'm using an app or Google Chrome or if the phone is just sitting there doing nothing with all apps and browsers closed. The advertisement pops up.

I downloaded Kaspersky and it didn't find anything. I went to Google Chrome and did a reset and that didn't work.

I've gone back and uninstalled any apps I've installed in the last couple of months. Although this problem has only existed for the last 5 days or so.

Your suggestions are much appreciated.

I think I found the problem. I forgot an app I installed recently. QR Barcode reader I found on the Google Play. I had difficulty uninstalling it because it was a device administrator. But eventually figured it out and uninstalled. The problem appears to be gone.
I'm very surprised something from the Google Play store would do this.
