Jobs to be created for returnees from Thailand

The Myanmar government is trying to create jobs in collaboration with the private sector for returnees from Thailand to escape harsher labour law introduced by the Thai government, said a report in the Myanmar Times Online on Friday (July 7).

The episode that aired last weekend, titled “Pull the Trigger on my Heart,” revolved around the story of Purich, a charming captain who served in the 21st Infantry Queen’s Guard regiment—just like the Thai PM, Prayuth Chan-ocha.

Reminder: Old MRT cards no longer work after July 15

Labour union fears bus reforms will benefit certain investors

BANGKOK: -- The Bangkok Mass Transit Authority’s (BMTA) labour union representatives on Friday urged Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha to review the Transport Ministry’s reform plan for public bus services in Bangkok and surrounding provinces. The union is worried the reforms would be done without transparency and benefit only certain investors.

11 Cambodians caught in sewerage tubes
