Why do the police constantly do this? They know who it is, don't warn him to lie low or flee by naming him, just go and make enquiries to arrest him, then crow about it afterwards.

Maybe they hope by publicizing it that he will give himself up without them having to lift a finger, but I bet the gold will be melted down and sold first.

No need to melt it down. Gold chains here in Thailand can be sold anywhere, no questions asked.

Is it really too difficult to get him by now?

Always so curious how the police able to identify the suspect and locate them so fast.

Some members of the RTP has been known to be competent at their job, just all too often, incompetence (laziness?) is acceptable!
