Complaint of fraud costing over 150 million baht in damage filed with DSI

BANGKOK, 2 August 2017 (NNT) – Victims of a pyramid scheme have filed a complaint with the Department of Special Investigation (DSI), indicating damages of over 150 million baht.

More than 10 people tied to Progression Achievement Trading Ltd and Prisana 2462 Co Ltd have submitted a complaint with the DSI seeking action against Kaewkanda Sewetsrisakul and others for fraud, accusing her of running a pyramid scheme that cost them a combined 150 million baht.

Attorney for the group, Thanawat Jiampipat, explained that after becoming CEO of the two companies last year Kaewkanda used the businesses’ name to entice investments, promising returns of 10-20 percent. One victim of the scheme sank over 30 million baht into the unsubstantiated investment.

Kaewkanda, who also used the name Chantra, also set up a shell company to act as a co-investor, funneling funds from the fraudulent business into her personal accounts. The complaint indicated that she may have duped over 1,000 victims.

as is the case here so often, the dark side is the intelligent side

There were times when people cheated other people with small money,

now it seems it has escalated into the many millions and more, why is

that one would ask, it's because the penalties for stilling little or stealing

a lot is almost the same, so why not go for the big payday?.....

"A fool and his money..."

What were they supposed to be selling ?, 10-20% returns that will get the greedy,

stupid people interested, this sort of thing has been going on for years,Oil,Gold,

Foreign currency, scams to name a few, but people never learn, and they will always find new victims.

regards worgeordie

If anyone involved with the scheme just send me $20 and I will pray for you.

Can't promise anything. That's when you can get yourself in trouble.

As I said for Rob, I will include you and I better do KB. Kiwis need all the prays they can get from an OZ'ie, except when the All Blacks are playing.

God be with you all.
