Actually the inquest said his neck marks were caused by shoelaces. 

He was hit very hard by a blunt object that ruptured his liver. 

The bleeding went into his stomach and he died by a combination of the bleeding and asphyxiation. 

By my James bond movie knowledge, a shoelace is the preferred tool of professional hired killers.

I thought the warders removed shoe laces so the prisoner couln't do himself in.

The tally is now 3 dead while in custody. All happened during the junta watch. Not a record any government should be proud of. Let's hope this will be the last mysterious death in the cell.
