Former PM Yingluck Shinawatra has already fled Thailand and is in Singapore, Khaosod English reports.

Citing a “very confidential report” Khaosod said that Ms Yingluck has is currently in Singapore.

The claim was made on a Facebook Live broadcast from outside the outside the Supreme Court, where many of Yingluck’s supporters have gathered.

Earlier, a warrant was issued for the arrest of Ms Yingluck after she failed to arrive at court for the verdict in her trial over a rice subsidy scheme.

Lawyers for Ms Yingluck said she was unable to attend due to ill health.

Meanwhile, Immigration Pol. Lt. Gen. Nathathorn Prousoontorn has told reporters there is no evidence that Ms Yingluck has left Thailand.

She may currently be in Singapore, but I'd bet she's heading for Dubai.

Amazing how quickly they issued an arrest warrant for her and yet look how long it took for the 'red bull' heir??

Is there really anyone who didn't see this coming?

Supposedly an earache

I get the same thing,  I often hear get the hell out of this country.

She can hook up with Khun Chalerm in Dubai or wherever for ear medicine ;-)

Run Away ;-)

I saw her going  through the departure gates of Red Bull Airlines. :w00t:

Singapore has always been a haven for rich fugitives.

Good for her. Probably got wind of the verdict.

If true, this is the best result that the Government could ever hope for,

they will be very pleased, solves all their problems surrounding her.

and they never wanted to jail her as she would become a martyr.

A "coup assisted" flight?

No way in the world could the most watched woman in Thailand, simply go to the airport, get on a plane, and leave the country, unless, of course, she was "allowed" to, or "assisted" by the very folks who supposedly want her head.

Her fleeing the country is the best scenario the illegal Junta could hope for.  Gives them the chance to say: "See, she's guilty! She fled!", when everyone knows the verdict of this trial was predetermined before the original charges were even pressed.

Now she can join her brother in Dubai, and then wage an online, Facebook & Line war against the junta, while building up her own support and sympathy.

Equally amazing is that Yingluck had been charged, been to court and was awaiting a verdict and yet the Red Bull heir has not been to court yet.

perhaps all the police and Army that were supposedly keeping an eye on her were stopping people on the highways and around the court.

Her brother could have sent a plane for her but who knows the deep and dark secrets of the Shinawatra clan.

If she's really fled out of the country, wonder if the current Immigration commanding police general will get the ax for having allowed her to abscond the country?

Guess this kind of thing gives new meaning to the Immigration motto... "bad guys [and gals] out."  They get out all right, they being rich/connected Thais who are facing jail for any variety of major crimes.

I agree it's what the junta wanted., either her fleeing or a suspended sentence. In jail she could try to play the Aung San card and if found not guilty the coup makers would have found it hard to justify their actions.

Out of Thailand, she will probably go back to shopping and the whole of the last 5 years will become  a blur.

The rich aka the elite....1         The people aka the poor.....0

Once again with help of the "independent" judiciary....

I never understood why she did not just run a long time ago. We all know the outcome of the trial. But guess she just stayed as long as she could.

What a slippery lot the Shinawatras are.

They make the Clintons look honest.

Saying it is one thing. Expecting anyone to actually believe it is quite another. Everyone is going to be laughing at them and their threadbare excuses, even their support base.

The junta let her go.

Just as they did with Thaksin letting him go to the Olympics.

It's all a con mate.

Maybe so, but the Shinawatra clan was conning Thailand long before the junta was.

Can't blame her there was no chance for a non-political trial.

funny how she could leave when on a travel ban

Finally the Shinawatra trait kicked in. Run away from accountability as fast as you possible can.

We don't actually KNOW (yet) that she's left the country. Maybe she has or maybe she's sick or maybe she's just sick 'n tired of the whole schmozzle & decided to have a day or 2 off & up yours!

19 Military coups would indicate that is incorrect

feel sorry for her supporters

hope they are adequately compensated for their travel and food costs

but if I was facing 10 years in a Thai prison on a stitch up

and I had the means

I would run
