You are having the same issue as I am having with our access road. That Hin Kluk does the job for us, we didn't put on plastic, fiber, geotextile or anything else on the sand, but just poured the Hin Kluk on top of that sand. It needs some yearly maintenance but that is just a minor job. The road is approx 6-8m long and approx 3-4m wide, with a slope going from (approx) 1m at the "main road" to 0 down at the gate
-
For the rest of our driveway, we used the geotextile. (Not sure if it was woven or not, but it felt like fabric and was easily cut by scissors). A roll of 100m long and approx 4m wide I believe was 15k THB We bought the thickest variety available, but even with that some plants still seem to manage to get through!
-
It was a 1 time buy thus never again and for 89 THB it was (even) not worth the test.
-
For crying out loud... I just bought 1 lousy package to test it!!
-
You can use it for when you ran out of glue for your wallpaper I made the mistake once in buying one of those MASH Potato Instant packages. Even the dogs wouldn't touch it and one of them eats everything (except that ????)

Oke, but again rice fields divider stick around 60-90cm above ground so to let the water flow from one field they have to dig all the way down. So for the OP to be really safe, at least 1,5m down over that length, a lot of work! In your own property I fully would go with trenched, but IMHO if you span that length of cable over that many different fields (and who knows how many different owners) poles is IMHO the best solution!
-
Our main road in front of the property was just recently build (concrete) but I haven't see them using Plastic. Only builders sand, then wire mesh and then they poured the concrete over that!
-
Did you see on what the put the Power Poles???? Hint: On Rice Fields dividers! Whatif he trenched it in and some farmer wants to dig an opening to let water go from one field to the next and he hit the 220V power cables which the OP had trenched in. Could result in Instant electrocution! Edit: Even if he put it in HDPE conduit it is no match against those tools the Farmers use to dig holes. (Tried that with 40MM HDPE, it went straight through)! One of these I mean

We already had a "small problem" with a smallish "sink" hole on the side close to the edge where the sand underneath had eroded and some edges where also dangerously loose. But totally NO issues on the "tracks" the cars normally take to enter. Problem easily solved be adding more stones and trying to compact it as good as we can, but as it was very close to the edge did not dare to drive over it. Builder said, the soil below is getting washed away and if we keep filling it up (with this mix) for the next 1-2 years it will last along time. Fortunately that Hin Kluk is cheap, but if the problem gets bigger / worse we will pour 10-15cm of concrete hardened with steel mesh over the whole "access road" (would need approx 4,5m3 of concrete)
-
Less then 2 years since we live here. The Road is approx 1m higher at the main road and it slopes down. But the total Road has been raised approx 2-2,5m this was farm land before we build on it. Here some pictures (also please note there is a 60(ish)cm Water pipe laying under the road because on the left there is a small lake and that connects to the rice fields and flows via "our pipe" to the lake which is in front of the house
-
We, for our entrance road, use something called "Hin Kluk" (หินคลุก) It's Stone (smallish) mixed with fine crushed stone / sand and when it settles and is compacted (so cars driving over it) it is can become as hard as concrete. The only issue we have is because of the rains the soil on which we put the "Hin Kluk" can get washed away if the soil underneath is not completely settled yet, but just get another truck in (we paid 3m3 for 1800 THB) and put that over the old surface. Maybe have to do that for another 1-2 years and then it will last a long time. Any builder merchant that sells stone, sand etc for construction should have it! It's a lot cheaper then just stone, but we got better result from this then just stone (size 3/4) we used for the rest of the property (which we laid on geotextile)

Reducing my house electricity costs – any advice please .

I am looking at one as well, and my guess is you have to clamp it on the cable coming from the PEA to your Fuse Box. But I think @Crossy or @Bandersnatch will know best about how to connect one of those. -

We have a very low kWh per day usage (max 10-14, but nowadays around 6 (last bill was 191 units (30 days))), and we are going with a 5kW system (on-grid) but with only 10-11 Panels (using 1 MPPT out of the 2) and that is just for our day time usage. (so we are being really nice to the inverter ) I think for us that should cover it and it will make a nice big dent in our PEA bill without breaking the bank. -

Some more Home automation to do for your there ???? If Solar_Panels_Produce < 500W then stop charging car end if How much kWh would it take for your car to go from 0 - 100%? I remember you already made a video about that principle, one massive battery right there and if you don't drive it can power your house and you can charge it via Solar! ooh I have an idea This is me talking to the SWMBO Darling lets get an EV with V2L so we don't have to buy batteries -

Personally I am not going for a 0 Unit Pea bill but will settle for a bill in the low 100s, because of the investment (read Battery) but maybe in the future. Question please: What was your highest PEA Bill (kWh wise) since you got Solar installed? -

you can easily check if your meter is faulty. turn everything off in the house (pull out all plugs) and see if the meter is still spinning some questions please How old is your aircon? how big is the aircon? BTU I mean? how big is the room it has to cool? we changed the aircon in our condo to an inverter and it reduced our electric bill in half. -

Talk to @Bandersnatch he also has his meter replaced several times as he uses Solar to power his house but just keeps the PEA for backup which is a good thing. The 38.22 THB is the standard service charge for having an electric meter over 15A. The service charge for the 5/15A meter is 8.19 THB.- This bill is from a house that is on 5/15A meter and just has low usage only a night light burning as no one lives there so that is why only 2 Units usage. But the bill is 0 THB because it qualifies for free electric (3 months under 50 Units used) (And also no Discount for the Ft) -
I tried to contact them but I haven't much luck, maybe my Email F.U. isn't up to par

That is a brilliant idea, we have a couple of them 1 for pest control and one for the wife to spray organic fertilizer (naam mak) but never thought of using it for that purpose. Question: How do you clean it afterwards so it can be used for other purposes? Or one time deal only?
-
No that is not what I meant to do it yourself, we don't do that as well! Have the aircon cleaning guys come out and do it, but just tell them "Here is the R32 Gas Bottle if you need to refill it" So you save on they charging you for the gas (they may or not use (been there done that) and You will be certain that it is the right gas for your Aircons This is the Bottle we bought (about 45cm high). Wifey said it cost (back then) around 1-2k THB (Edit: Sorry that the bottle is a bit dirty ????)
-
If you are worried about that, then buy the Coolant yourself and then you know it's R32 for sure. We did when we bought our Daikin Inverters approx 5-6 years ago and the installer (Baan Nork) didn't know about R32 yet It's only a small one but enough for a couple refills (and will last a long time if the installer did a good job, because AFAIK it's a closed circuit and shouldn't need a refill (but I am maybe wrong about that) Edit: When I get home I will post a picture of it and will also ask the wife how much it was.
