First reply up above seems to think it is. I haven't used it myself, I continue to avoid the road due to it's prior reputation. Although as a passenger to and from immigration it seemed to move better.

Used to be common, I first came in the 80s and many bars were falang owned, the owners would always come over and chat to customers, especially new ones, make them feel welcome. Sadly, these days I hear they are often poncing drinks, and are managers rather than owners.

Afraid that doesn't apply, Bangkok and Pattaya are getting polluted and both close to the sea.

I coincidentally ran into someone who lives in Bang Saray yesterday, and he told me not.
