  1. I think you will find (as @gamb00ler mentioned) that it is 15%.............hyperbole much.......
  2. Do I read that correctly? So unfortunately little if any action was taken until someone was killed.........

    90-Day Online

Not disputing that you see that but that is definitely not what I see and I am surprised. Last 90 day was due April 1, I applied March 21 and granted 2 days later. Date on tear off slip March 21 and then 90 days from that date. April 1 date does not appear anywhere on it. Presumably then there is more manual intervention and must vary by Immigration office. Quelle surprise

    90-Day Online

Trans have you calculated the days from actual report date to the next one? All mine have been 90 days as Pattaya57 mentions. This was also the case when going in person. Go 15 days early you effectively lose those 15 days - not like renewing your extension of stay early. I can't imagine the online system could calculate a different date for different offices................but TIT
  5. Sorry Mike but anybody who has been closely following the long thread will know anyway...........
  6. Why don't you show us the link that say's that since you are the only one claiming it...... And by the way it is 180 days or more, not 185 If you haven't already you may want to peruse this https://aseannow.com/topic/1324294-introduction-to-personal-income-tax-in-thailand/
  7. I thought they referred to the "Love" short time places that had a curtain across where you parked the car/bike for privacy but the rooms are similar to a normal hotel room?
  8. Have you actually bothered to read the rest of the thread as it went along? What you are talking about has been discussed to death on here and you are just raking over old coals seemingly trying to get them to come ablaze...... No it is not. Many, many Thais who should probably pay tax don't and we don't hear much if anything about that. Not only that, this was a tax rule change (not even a new tax) and was not initially specifically aimed at foreigners. Rather than respond I suggest you go back and read the whole thread.........
  9. Very likely but with no links to the original articles, and pictures, any more it is difficult to say......
  10. You know you can stop that in Line if you want to?
  11. Seems to happen when they are short of those particular coins. I have not personally noticed it recently in either 7/11s or Big C but have in the past.
  12. I don't disagree with you but there was also zero indication, as far as I was aware, that before Srettha's announcement that they were going to change a 35 year old interpretation of the tax regulations....... Saying that I do agree it does seem unlikely.
  13. Your proposal was because a poster mentioned that for some it was already difficult (well that is what you replied to). There is nothing in the article specifically about foreigners yet you seem to want to make things even harder - kind of like I'm all right Jack........... They may not class themselves as a traveller and may need to pay utilities from abroad......and may not want to use their foreign banks cc with potential associated fees.....
  14. Why? What about younger people still working and travelling in and out or older doing same......but still spending a fair amount of their time here. Why should they be penalised?
  15. In the UK, for example, a lot of people have been chasing the best savings rates and will move money around online to different banks depending on that. If you had to keep updating your will every time it would not only be a chore but also you may die between changing and updating...... I agree you need to have details about the assets accessible to at least your executor(s). In my case I have a a separate document which I update as necessary and which I send to the relevant trusted people. This contains all the details they should need. I actually go further and have it encrypted and the password is available separately.
  16. It seems to be something that the lawyers here in Thailand like to do - guess it potentially removes any ambiguity. However I agree with you and made this same point to a foreign para legal (not sure what to call him) who works here and posted on previous will threads. he admitted that It definitely isn't something that has to be done but he was in favour of it.
  17. I would have thought that "ïnfluential figures" wouldn't have had an issue getting the right permits........isn't that why they are considered "influential".......... Seems to me to be more like other influential figures getting rid of cheaper competition......
  18. Don't know if you have already looked at this but there is a lot of information and misinformation in here - Although started a while ago it does run into last year and generally most things won't have changed
  19. Yes they can take a while to respond. However if you are an existing policy member have you not signed up for online access here - https://expat.april-international.com/members/login.jsf This should contain documents with your current ts and cs............
  20. This is from the My Health general Conditions in 2022 so may have changed -
  21. Can you tell us who so we can perhaps judge for ourselves based on posting history? I remember reading the quote and thought then that we were just going round and round either in circles or down the rabbit hole........
  22. For you possibly. Not a hand held but my Garmin car GPS has not had its day yet and is still used - just saying......... Oh and based on comments in many threads about contacting institutions in the home country lots on here still use Skype........
