  1. Do you have the SCB Easy app and does that work as well - as my understanding is they only allow it on one device but I could be wrong? (Bangkok Bank still has web access so you don't really need it for them)
  2. Just so you don't feel hard done by I am the same with Lloyds International. However since the one item I received from them in April was not a monthly statement I have been leaning towards them not sending them for some reason rather than a Thai issue.
  3. I looked at both very carefully with Mike at AA Insure (Wim was removed from my "Xmas card list" when the changeover happened.....) at the end of last year. My preference was also PC but there just seemed to be too many potential gotchas if something happened in the next 3-5 years so I decided to continue with April Int - which currently i do directly.
  4. Yet the report suggests that he hit the songthaew which was stationary.......
  5. AA Insure in Pattaya theoretically don't - and in practice for me didn't and won't. The link shown does not say otherwise. The company that bought AA Insure (Regency) set up AA World based in India to supposedly deal with these queries and guess what policies they push (or at least pushed initially)......... That is why Sheryl and others are using a foreign based broker when before they were using AA.
  6. Thanks. May have to give it a try again.
  7. Can someone explain what was the point of this?
  8. Looking at that first picture I would be worried that the house itself would collapse. Will the construction company build a new wall for the owner............
  9. You seem to have very detailed knowledge - can you tell us how you have come by it?
  10. Agreed. Look on my car windscreen you will see what most would call a tax disc - what would you call them?
  11. Yet only yesterday was this article -
  12. If you are UK non resident for tax officially with HMRC then not sure why you would think any income generated outside the UK would be of any interest to them? My understanding, and practice, is that as a non-resident you don't even need to disclose it. Unless there is something else the worms should stay in the can......... Edit - pretty much what @CharlieH says above. Curious why you wait for 7 years before considering trying to reclaim presumably overpaid tax?
  13. If you read through some of the older threads specific to April you should come across a mention of @Sheryl moving from AA Insure to a French broker who she was, at the time, quite happy with. one phone number i have for Information for April International direct is +33 173 02 93 93
  14. I was with them until 3 years ago or so when they tried to hike the renewal premium by 30%.........and that was with no outpatient and no pre-existing. Agree with this 100%
  15. or perhaps just don't shop there........
  16. However - yet - It would be nice if there was more explanation/reporting of the details here but I am long past expecting it - just as I wonder if there will ever be any follow up on the 10..........
  17. I think this is his second or third thread on the same subject..........
  18. Interesting as I don't think that happens with SCB - in fact it definitely doesn't as the phone with the SCB banking app has my UK sim in it....... Agreed I originally set it up with my Thai sim in but have used it purely with wi fi since.
  19. So not much has changed then....... Pickpocketing is hardly a scam - it's theft but again nothing new. Haven't read a decent jet ski "ïncident" for a while....... What is this "unyielding cycle of intimidation" all about - anybody guess?
  20. Why would you need to go to an office to do that? Is it not all done online......... And if a "personal" account why the need to close it.
  21. Yes thanks I do...... if you had bothered to read the link I provided it set out all the charges which depend on the type of investment. However I am guessing you are referring to the .45% charge for funds.
  22. Possibly not so much anymore. Have you read this or similar - https://securityboulevard.com/2025/02/mozillas-data-practices-and-privacy-evolution-recent-developments/ And with tech oriented commentards (read the comments) https://www.theregister.com/2025/03/02/mozilla_introduces_terms_of_use/ Especially note the last line in the article........ I am surprised if you feel the way you do that you are still using Edge? I ripped that out of Win 10 and will not be going to 11...........
  23. The HL charge for a SIPP or an ISA is completely separate to any extra individual fund or trust management charges. If you have funds then the maximum £200 (16.66 per month) does not apply....... If you are in draw down then that is a whole separate set of charges https://www.hl.co.uk/pensions/sipp/charges-and-interest-rates
  24. Agree with @KannikaP Did you bother to look at recent topics...... It's also mentioned in most of the other tax threads.........
  25. There are very few policies that include pre-existing or you have to take out an IMF loan to fund.......... Termination of Insurance - Do you know that from personal experience because if that is referring to a Cigna International policy then I thought that they could not act like that? Plus I have not heard it happening with them or other major International insurers.
