Unfortunately because most people either don't care or somehow believe it has no effect on them...... oh and because they have got used to the "convenience" .....

When you posted that it is Buddha day now - tomorrow (Monday) is just a holiday but should be no booze ban.

Your right that they appear a tad smaller however if I was playing devils advocate......I don't think that is how you measure a waistband. How much material goes around to the back and perhaps it is stretchy...........maybe "stretching " things a bit here ...... As others have clearly said why would you buy an unknown brand online - and just before you are due to go away......

Sorry I am feeling a little antagonistic but please enlighten me as to which specific "financial companies" fall within your definition from your OP as a "boiler room'...............in terms of posters on here having issues with them.......... -
When exactly is state pension frozen?

Really do not understand why you are defending him. Next we will be into semantics about what is fake or not........... -

Are you saying DWP same as HMRC? If yes then that is a different answer to what @CharlieH suggested. For example HMRC have known for many years that I live in Thailand but I have yet to claim my State Pension. -

If you are referring to a Thai bank when was the last time you spoke to one of their hotlines? My interactions with the SCB call centre suggests they speak and understand English in sufficient depth that I can only call your post "politely" misguided...... If you mean a "financial company" like Wise or Revolut then I have no experience. -

I asked this question twice - in an online form and to a person - no answer to the form and and the person I asked was so unsure I still do not know for sure..... You have just reminded me to ask again. -
Not sure I understand your question. What exactly are you looking for that hasn't been mentioned in one of the various Skype threads currently or recently running?
-
I may well be wrong but I would have to disagree that Skype was in any way a similar "competitor" to Microsoft at that time - and certainly not a rival - https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cedy2ygy50do Remember Microsoft bought it from basically private equity owners (ebay still had a 30% stake).

That is one of either the funniest or most naive statements I have read for a while especially considering their recent history with the upgrade from Windows 10 to 11....... Sorry if I am being harsh but that seems like nonsense. On what basis? Skype was bought over 10 years ago and has been superseded by alternatives, one of which they have suggested you can transfer to along with your contacts. The fact that some functionality is different is, IMHO, neither here nor there as far as your statement is concerned.

If you haven't looked at the link below it may help you understand the theory at least. Unfortunately almost none of the info you provided in the first post is that relevant......saying that I don't necessarily disagree with the first reply above..... Even if you only read the first page it should give you a basic understanding. -
No you haven't missed anything. If you have no credit now then you will not be able to call landlines via Teams/Skype web portal. Along with many people you need to find another service.

Says who? He has an account which presumably is functioning? Contact CS of said bank if the bank account staff are saying that.

According to the Yolla web page you should be able to call UK landlines from $0.06 per minute.........which is about 4p/5p? Unless the web site is telling porkies not sure why your numbers are that much higher. No idea however about 0330 numbers. These 2 seem cheaper - Mytello https://www.mytello.com/en_TH/rates/cheap-calls-to-the-uk LocalPhone https://www.localphone.com/call/united_kingdom Thanks @Upnotover for that example

yet - I guess there may have been a perfectly explainable reason for this, however......... -
Did you miss off a decimal point? That seems dearer than using a Thai sim with one of the cheaper rates they have - or am I missing something. Skype to most landlines in the UK was less than 1p per minute?

Going back more than 15 years Twinings was always considered a slightly more premium brand (to me anyhow) with pricing to match. I used to prefer Typhoo but the last couple of years moved to Taylors Yorkshire tea bags which currently are available in Big C Extra in Pattaya - I usually pay friends to bring out for me when possible. The other big UK brand is/used to be PG Tips.

How about taking some responsibility? Sim card registration with your passport was supposedly insisted upon years ago. If you didn't do it you should be aware of it and unless hiding under a rock should be aware of the recent changes - unless you think you are going to remain "under the radar"........
