  1. And the US $ (DXY) has dropped from 110 around inauguration to 102.5 today.... more Trump inspired winning! DXY had climbed from election day, but the actual reality of Trump quickly became a yuuuge disappointment. Nobody has ever seen anything like it.
  2. typical right wing insistence that somehow a single fact captures the entire context of a situation.... Grade school analysis at best.
  3. Perfect example of current administration dipshhit decisions based only on some incorrect paperwork. They have no desire for accuracy. A shock and awful campaign.
  4. LOL - he was correct.... he did not lie. Trump did not design the tariffs according to the amount of tariffs the target country is/was charging on US goods. You need to practice your reading comprehension. Instead the Trump tariffs are determined by the $ volume of trade imbalances. Moronic beyond measure.
  5. just for your own edification, look up arpanet.
  6. An excellent post that succinctly illustrates the lack of understanding in the MAGA world about how trade between rich countries and poorer countries leads to trade imbalances. Thank you! For example, it's plain to see that Thailand is not using tariffs (custom duties) to protect home grown manufacturing businesses and jobs. They use tariffs as an easily managed source of tax revenue. Thailand's rampant corruption and their inability to enforce laws/regulations means they need dead simple revenue collection methods like VAT and tariffs.
  7. Trump sets such a low bar that it is nigh impossible to find anyone who isn't "more knowledgeable on things".
  8. It is unlikely that his gambling offerings were too generous. His failure was probably due to faulty marketing, out of line expenses or most likely fraud on his part.
  9. OK.. he's actually the casino with a built in advantage.
  10. Smart casinos do allow customers to win.... but the win is due to the mathematical variance inherent in any form of gambling. The long term result for the recreational gambler is negative. The casino almost always has a mathematical advantage that will earn a profit for them. Your understanding of casinos is severely lacking.
  11. Can you export to the grid from your inverter? Did you have a PEA inspection? I think I read that the ATS serves to completely isolate my installation from the grid when the grid fails.
  12. Are you using any ESP32 relay controllers? Those boards are the source of all my problems with switching from grid to battery and back. They seem very sensitive to power fluctuations. They are also the reason I need a UPS for my network gear. Many days our house will get several really short grid failures and often my network and/or relay controllers will re-boot. When multiple links in a communication link are re-started sometimes the process doesn't succeed due to timing issues. If my network gear survives the multiple power glitches without re-booting, then the comm. link gets re-established 100% of the time. The UPS for the network gear is small and cheap and has performed perfectly so far. I think the main issues is the ESP32 software is poorly done and has little resilience for such situations.
  13. like the quadriplegic who fell overboard.... he washed up on the beach.
  14. LOL.... he posts unbelievable inanities to keep his post count up.... .....if everyone in the world was really on the ball it would be harder for me to make a living.....
  15. LOL LOL OK 40 psychologists signed a letter claiming..... My Psych 101 professor had the bright idea of giving LSD to 30 young repeat offenders in jail under a government research grant. (Google "duncan blewett" LSD inmate) Who'd like to take a shot at guessing how that turned out? I'm sure a group of 40 such individuals would definitely come up with many wacky ideas. Of course The Telegraph would consider such ideas newsworthy.
  16. Unfortunately, those most susceptible have been culled over that last 5 years. The remaining unvaxed are only doing better than those who already succumbed.
  17. I wish the Thai government could be convinced that poker is really a game of skill and they would no longer banish it as a form of gambling. I know at least one AN poster who isn't fishy..... LOL
  18. Not sure what answer you want. Currently I only have summary by casino over the entirety of my career. I've also been retired for 5+ years. Beaten by me? Beaten only by me? Beaten by most of the other professional gamblers as well? Of course the other pros rarely shared their profit/loss info with me. Being of an analytical mind I kept very detailed records of game I played, what casino, what date and the results. I use spreadsheets to analyze by game, by casino.... so I can give detailed answers. My top 5 best results were: Gold Coast, Sam's Town, South Point, Palms and Treasure Island. My wife's (also a pro) were: Mandalay Bay, Palms, Orleans, Green Valley Ranch and Sam's Town My worst: John Ascuaga's Nugget in Sparks, NV and the wife's worst : MGM If you know Vegas casinos you'll notice that results were much better at 'locals' casinos.
  19. LOL no casino wins 100%. Why should they do that? In the long run, most gamblers will lose enough for the casino to show a tidy profit.
  20. That is the consensus of the uneducated public. However, almost every casino game can legally be beaten under specific circumstances. The circumstances usually include staff errors, overly generous promotions intended to increase volume, progressive jackpots and statutory obligations to give away funds. The last two are complicated to explain, so I won't. I'll just say that Nevada gaming regulations often protect the gambler from overly stingy casinos. Having said that, the Nevada casinos where I made my living for 25 years are very competitive so they generally offer better odds than casinos with little competition. I think any casino in Thailand will only offer the poorest odds that they can get away with. Also, the player will probably not be as protected as in Nevada.
  21. I would check out the casino's for potential profitable opportunities..... because I have enough math education and experience.

  23. A standard solar with battery installation still does not solve all the issues with power. I still need small UPS boxes for my network gear and desktop. They are able to switch to battery much faster than my solar setup. When the grid fails the ATS (automatic transfer switch) on my solar installation does its job albeit a little too slowly. Some of my 'smart' devices seem to have a problem with the brief period of unstable power. I use 4 ESP32 relay controllers to operate our property entry gate and 3 garage doors. One of the devices will sometimes go completely off the reservation and the garage door will open/close repeatedly until the circuit breaker is flipped to completely reset the device/motor controller. Just yesterday a major component of PEA's equipment in our mubaan failed and the grid power oscillated off/on with a short cycle. My 'smart' devices and solar installation did not deal with that very well. Welcome to Thailand.... 555
