  1. Typical of what I would expect from a foreign or domestic attempt to have Americans tear at each other. Oh, I am not stating that you are … I do not have the factual evidence. What evidence I have is only what is provided by you … I judge you thus and it certainly is not a conclusion that any American family could be proud.
  2. I do not want Trump to step aside. He and Vance are very effective Allie’s supporting my desire to have a Democrat sweep in November. Both of them, open mouth, insert foot.
  3. As much as any other American citizen. I have only my vote in reality.
  4. Point taken. So, in consultation with those more closely potentially understanding the ramifications.
  5. This is why the idea of his being locked up is not a concern of mine. I want to see him sentenced for his wrongdoing by citizen Trial Juries after already being indicted by the separate five citizen Grand Juries. And the financial costs ruining his financial well being. That should do the trick for a penalty … Oh, and an overwhelming election defeat in 2024, of course, with the added benefit of the loss of the down ballot Republicans being rejected resulting in a centralist, conservative Republican Party (but not until after the Democrat House, Senate and President take concrete steps to address the income/wealth gap having caused the underlying justified frustration/anger within the working middle class).
  6. Lost by 3 million popular votes in 2016, lost by 7 million popular votes in 2020. I am hopeful of a loss of over 10 million popular votes in 2024 but … I am very concerned about the manipulation of the call for not certifying the vote calling the election into question and the havoc that would ensue. Additionally, the Electoral College vote manipulation attempts that may be developed as it had been tried by Trump and his ilk before and we all witnessed in the now documented history.
  7. A clear and present danger to my country.
  8. Here we agree that, the residents do not only “vote based on a candidates expertise”. Proof of that is supported by Trump being the Republican Party nominee as President of the USA.
  9. Yes, your personal opinion. I do think I will favor the opinions of the residents of California who voted her into office of AG.
  10. jurist. noun. ju·rist ˈju̇r-ist. : an individual having a thorough knowledge of law.
  11. You knew his reply (below) was a given. The attitude of “we don’t need no stinkin educated people telling us what they know after a lifetime of study …”
  12. Because socialism is not communism? Some look at all the Democratic/capitalist developed countries having some form of socialized national healthcare … except, of course, not the USA.
  13. Ha! In my case, clearly I am a retired “economic refugee” member of the working middle class who cannot live in the USA on a sustainable working middle class retirement income of $2400.00 a month ($1750 of that from SS).
  14. Nor can you find those words in the US Constitution so … nice try. A bit for reflection. Where does it say in the Constitution that the national government has the power to regulate airplanes? Internet communications? The safety of medical care/pharmaceuticals? Etc. If not clearly stated in the Constitution? So, back to 1783 …
  15. Where have I insulted or harassed? Address that to those you find taking that action. As far as opinions? Yes, most folks have them, however, that does not mean all opinions are equal. My Cardiologist’s opinion carries far more weight than anyone in general. While humbly acknowledging I certainly do not have all the answers, that I certainly can be wrong … nonetheless, unless I think the years gaining my knowledge base has been wasted on me … yes, I have a far greater knowledge base on which to draw than the average US citizen reading at the 7th - 8th grade level. I certainly do not personally denigrate … I was raised in a family where many of my parents generation could not finished high school due to the depression. Good folk but no where near what a college educated person should have knowledge of today.
  16. Thanks. After 41 years in the classroom, you think I am not well aware that the average reading level in the USA is at the 7th - 8th grade level with a commensurate lack of comprehension. While I am well aware of the shortcomings … regressive moves are both not warranted nor the answer to progress.
  17. But then you would be wrong. The Trump party propaganda wording does not make is so …support wars? Does that not depend on circumstances. My country is attacked … good chance the answer would be yes. Invading another sovereign country? Perhaps not supporting that war action. Open borders … no, I do not support that but as that is not the case … Back off the bs ”you must hate the US” my DNA credentials and involvement in the developing the U.S. was present since the 1600s. For all its flaws the USA is my country and I take 2nd place to no one …
  18. Check your history book. Previous to the Trump/McConnell Court, the right to decide was ruled Constitutional for 50 years.
  19. But then … you are wrong. I certainly support the current Democrat Pary over the current Trump/Project 2025 party. However, I am a retired educator so I can read the article comprehend what is stated in the article. Then draw on a vast and broad education background to wheigh out the salient points and know where questions arise.
  20. Not a distain for the less educated person … distain for ignorance causing harm to the whole of society, including those with less education.
  21. Here’s the thing … I am them! That is, I was raised working middle class in a blue collar union family. Dad was a welder, at the end of WW II an Aviation Metalsmith. I come from a long documented DNA line of working middle class back to before the USA was even founded and retired as a member of the working middle class unable to afford a sustainable retirement income necessary to live in my own country. So, middle class respect? It is a given. Where there is a large difference is that I did go on to gain an education which resulted in my appreciation for both the justified frustration/anger within the working middle class and also being quite aware that Trump and his Project 2025 ilk are not the answer. We have been here before if you are aware of the time period building up to WW II … oh, not due to the war scenarios but rather the economic strain tempting Americans to veer toward authoritarian rule. Fortunately, that temptation was beaten back. This time? With the current scenario … and IF the vast majority of American citizens do vote, I think the authoritarian draw will again be beaten back by a decided majority. I certainly hope so as I would not want to lose my country. Now shall we discuss the attack on the educated, education in general, call for doing away with the Dept. of Education to have parochial interests decide what can be taught? There was a reason to adopt a public education system in order to advance the country’s interests and beat back ignorance. Indeed, the election decides if we devolve into 50 states with their own residents rights or if we remain a country with American citizen rights …
  22. My first thought … international cooperation by individuals from warring nations. Curious if family relationship there somehow.
  23. While I am left of center, politically, socially progressive, I am also an American. When I lived in the USA, I was a gun owner, mostly target shooting and small game in a rural area. I also went through the training to hold a Concealed Deadly Weapon License (this was to cover me if I had a gun in the car but out of sight). So, we saw the actual shooting of Oswald by Jack Ruby. We saw the actual shooting of Reagan. In both those cases, I have no problem with the death penalty. Break into my home and threaten the life or bodily harm to me and mine? I would have no hesitation of killing and would not lose sleep. As to more subtle evidence presented to the Trial Jury? Too many cases where later DNA fact finds the jury was wrong … in those cases, I favor life without parole unless that DNA or more solid evidence comes forth clearing the accused.
  24. A certificate issued by the US government that you already paid the tax? Think the answer from the US is the same as not validating a U.S. citizens income for Thai Immigration purposes (I think one of the four countries no longer issuing those embassy certificates.
