Where To Obtain A Passport Photo For A US Passport Renewal
pgrahmm replied to connda's topic in Chiang Mai
Star Visa just down the street from the US Consulate.... There's a parking garage across the street .... Star also has a 2nd office behind the Big C out on the great highway.... There's a photo shop near Rim Ping rear exit at the Mae Hia market with adjoining parking.... -
I've seen Chicago twice....The first time seemed like a powerful performance.....The second time they had the Beach Boys opening for them....The BB were so over amplified that kids were crying & people were moving back away from some speaker positions holding their hands over their ears.... Chicago then came on & almost sounded muted....
-
I'm definitely more country oriented....I was raised in a small community about 15 miles away from a large city & have kept the same pattern ever since.... Usually within a half hour/hour drive to a city.... Close enough for convenience & far enough away to be away from it. ..I generally don't like cities....

I don't see enough clearance to make useful.... I'm not a big proponent of plastic for heavy duty or hazardous applications....

My wife put one out under her car....Only problem came when it was not far enough away from our daytime tethered cat.... The trap caught the rat & the cat....What a huge sound explosion as our cat got half of himself glued to the trap in a confined space under the car & then bolted into his kitty condo.... What a frickin mess trying to free, clean, & calm down a very frightened & not too happy good sized cat....

My wife makes sure I turn the engine off if parked up with a shop or vendor nearby..... It's common courtesy..... You could be choking many people inside shop areas.....Chances are they are running fans trying to move the hot air around which is now being injected with diesel fumes..... You blow out their clientele, possibly taint their product offerings - all in the name of YOUR comfort.... Completely thoughtless & rude - by any standards.... And we wonder where their "smiles" went where Farangs are concerned.....

What makes getting in & out of your car difficult? I've blown up both ankles in 2 different sports requiring over 4 hours of emergency surgery....I was told no more sports & I would always have limp....The first thing I did once I got the thigh high cast off was attempting to THEN running up the hill trails by my neighborhood....Result - played sports another 40 years & no limp....I was told at 22 I had an arthritic spine & curtail all activities....I looked at my Mom in her 50's that did what the Dr's said & she was hobbled by a basically frozen spine = I kept on with my sports.... I've probably outlived all those Dr's & at 6'4" can still touch the floor with the flat of my palms....I walk my dog 4x a day + ride my bicycle most days....76 years old... Man, if you don't have any serious condition get out there, foster, increase & expand your activities.... Get out there and slay your dragons, small ones first & gain the confidence to overcome your doubts...

Just wear your loose fitting pj's with the little rubber duckies all over it.....

It can be done but you have to go to (find) an independent broker..... I tried to restart my AAA coverage = they couldn't but sent me to a local broker....It ended up about $800 to cover my 4Runner....We logged over 5k miles as we RV'd about... I did get an IDP = nobody paid any attention to it, however, it's my understanding that certain states absolutely require it while others do not.... I got it just for backup & will for the next trip too.... I did take a paper copy of my TH auto insurance, so they couldn't claim I was driving uninsured. It wasn't used - but I'll continue to do this as an ounce of prevention....

"Smart Phones" = dumber, programed people.... Starting at preschool levels.... Loss of interpersonal skills, social skills, ingenuity, problem solving, attention spans, actual research abilities, compassion, reality, job skills, responsibilities...... Not good....

I agree, I carry dog "cookies" that I order through Lazada & in just a short time I have a bunch of dog buddies - 9....Some really are just starved for attention....I give them all a few pats or belly rub & some kind words + a cookie & we're buds now - enough that some take some guidance.... My Bangkaew doesn't mind at all, just aloofly waiting patiently (which seems to be a trained Bangkaew's trait per the groups I'm linked to).....I run my guy off a bicycle & it's not unusual to have 4 trailing along just for the fun of it.... Now - I live in a rural MuBaan surrounded mostly by fields, many neighbors leave water or leftovers out so these dogs are pretty well fed.... I'm sure that roving packs in a city play by a whole different set of rules.... -

I had one dog constantly coming after me while riding my bike, going right for my foot/ankles....I got a spray bottle that could shoot about 9ft....I then made a concentration of Apple Cider Vinegar with some light salt water.....After the first attempt & me spraying it's eyes it decided to avoid me....This dog basically attacks anything when he escapes his fenced yard..... The locals carry a 2.5-3ft sturdy bamboo stick which seems effective..... When initially finding places to walk my dog, I did too; tucked into my belt running up through the small of my back like an arrow in a quiver....I didn't carry a baton as that could possibly be construed as a weapon.... -
Boy, 10, admits to shooting and killing man at trailer park
pgrahmm replied to Social Media's topic in World News
"The child's subsequent evaluation and treatment at a psychiatric hospital in San Antonio underscored the critical intersection between mental health and juvenile delinquency. His young age and troubled state of mind raise important questions about the underlying factors contributing to his actions and the urgent need for comprehensive support and intervention. While the legal system may be limited in its ability to hold the child accountable for Brandon Rasberry's death, the broader implications of this tragic event extend far beyond the confines of a courtroom. It serves as a poignant reminder of the complexities surrounding juvenile crime, mental health, and the profound impact of early intervention and support in addressing underlying issues." <>As the community grapples with the aftermath of this devastating loss, there is a pressing need for compassion, understanding, and a concerted effort to address the root causes of such senseless acts of violence. Only through a holistic approach that prioritizes mental health support, early intervention, and community engagement can we hope to prevent similar tragedies in the future.<> Tragic - This kid was off the radar until this happened - age of 7...... The "holistic" approach suggested is a nothing burger..... Not being able to hold a child under 10 responsible should be revisited.....A loophole easily exploited by youth gangs..... Note, this was an RV park, not a trailer park.... -
I've had trouble getting it to turn out well with the hot weather(too dense/poor rise)... I'm usually pretty successful, but not during this hot weather..... The Ideal temperature for rising is about 75f.....

The Hideaway for bagels & all the fixin's + their craft cheeses.... They have a sister store in town, but I don't know the name or if they stock the same products.... True sourdough, especially a crusty bread that is acceptable is difficult..... My wife has started making flour tortillas recently & it's been a nice addition...... Rim Ping & Makro have flour tortillas.... We don't live close enough in to use Lotus or Tops....

I tip my barber, car wash guys, & masseuse gal.....All of which I've gone to for years..... If we go to an "upscale" restaurant, I'll usually tip..... If we go to a local small eatery I'll leave it up to my wife - who usually does not.....She does surprise me & tip on occasion.... She's got her own system.... If we seek a service & they exceed expectations I will tip depending on the situation.....
