Kangaroo Club (2nd floor) back in the late 70's/80's was the raunchiest place ever. Basically open 24 hours, girls sleeping on the floor. Go up at 7/8am, pick a girl off the floor, go and do your business (500 baht) in probably the horriblest toilet in Patpong. Those were the days.

Yes....A man who knows how things ACTUALLY work....not many of us around. The thing is in Thailand, that the words "proper procedures", "legal", "illegal", "correct way to do things", are interpreted as required, and to fit any particular circumstance or requirement. IMHO.... -

Sorry Mr Spark but you are wrong. You need to get your facts correct mate. Now I have Line on my Laptop and phone...working simultaneously. When I travel, I use it the same way, but on my Tablet and phone. Works flawlessly. _________________________ Just saw your last post. I use Android/WIN 11 at home Android/Ipad when travelling.

Interest rates are so low, then having a deposit account doesn't earn must interest over a year. So why not change to a normal savings account, and then the ideas of other posters on ATM card, online banking etc can be realised.

As I wrote in an earlier post, I had the exact same problem with gecko short. So now we spray 'Shelldrite" around the compressor case/surrounding area once a week, and it seems to work, as no little beasties in evidence these days. worth a try.

An update thought....That price was for my 48,000btu large ceiling aircon, so probably would be cheaper for a normal 18,000btu wall mounted unit.

Had exactly same problem last year..gecko short. New board was approx 15,000 baht, although luckily covered under warranty.

The only reason you'd have a room mate is if you're travelling together, so he's probably a friend (or was), so you confronted him....he said no....so just forget it/forget him and move to your own room. (but with hotel prices so low, don't understand why you'd share a room in the first place).

Think you are incorrect here. To obtain new debit card is an easy process with just passbook, passport and old card. Banks are not interested in Visa status for any transactions after you have initially opened an account.
