  1. I gotta ask. Other than some British people, who really cares about this saga and this extended family. Its just like a Thai soap opera. Of course this is IMHO.
  2. What is this?
  3. Mmmm..."Much ado about nothing".....
  4. As of a few days ago it has moved ---I believe near highway 31, but you'll need to check on that.
  5. They are not concerned with any particular account (ie: your old account), only that you have had 12 months of the 800k in an account to be shown at renewal time (along with the required bank letter etc). So your plan is well thought out.
  6. Yes same 120 on all 4 lanes, but of course the the speeds are going to be slower on the inner lanes, as there are slower cars, trucks that use them, plus cars slowing down for rest stops etc.
  7. Orthopedic Dept at BPH about 3k baht, if you can't find anywhere else.
  8. And after reading this twaddle, I could pretend to like the post...not
  9. A man that says that..is definitely not a man????
  10. Actually things come full circle sometimes. A journalists report has surfaced that lady Hussey's family tree is linked to Rasputins lineage, so her background is very suspect, probably worse than a background of any African country. Karma!
  11. PVC fittings is fine. Your wife is reading the instructions wrongly. The pump actually has to be water primed before using for the first time. I sometimes by loosen the spring cap to release any trapped air. The instructions usually have little diagrams along with the print. Happy pumping.
  12. Holiday in the Maldives, but appreciate your concern..555
  13. But the question is---did you leave the door open, enquiring minds need to know????
  14. Presume that was in the UK. (also values rise in countries like NZ, Aussie, USA etc), But sadly 99% of house prices in Thailand do not rise in value like that. Most of the time a person is lucky to sell for a small profit, as the older a house gets here, the more it deteriorates due to weather, humidity etc, and every few years they need a really good spruce up (which costs). But in some cases the land value will of course rise. The other problem is that Thailand has valuations on land/houses for tax purposes, but no set valuations for buying/selling, meaning its really up to a seller and buyer to determine a price that's amenable to both. Other posters will come along with their own experiences/stories, so they will be useful also.
  15. Not only childish, but dangerous for him and other road users...d___head move.
  16. make it easy for everyone..555
  17. These split names are quite common. Many moons ago I worked for Raytheon and Bendix in ABQ. Local companies would send mail to Mr Ray Theon and of course Mr Ben Dix. It was funny at the time. (Sorry to get off track of the main topic)
  18. Probably a few on AN could put Head Dick, and get away with it.
  19. better..IMHO
  20. Bit pedantic there matey. But I forgive you.

    Patpong

Kangaroo Club (2nd floor) back in the late 70's/80's was the raunchiest place ever. Basically open 24 hours, girls sleeping on the floor. Go up at 7/8am, pick a girl off the floor, go and do your business (500 baht) in probably the horriblest toilet in Patpong. Those were the days.
  22. Exactly....actually the amount of Chinese (and Russian) money in Pattaya businesses, housing, Condos etc is huge.
  23. Yes....A man who knows how things ACTUALLY work....not many of us around. The thing is in Thailand, that the words "proper procedures", "legal", "illegal", "correct way to do things", are interpreted as required, and to fit any particular circumstance or requirement. IMHO....
  24. Look at @liquorice post yesterday..he mentioned PoT. I also presumed he mean't POA, but maybe he had another method, so worth asking. Don't be so pedantic!
