  1. One day, it had to happen. But not too long ago people thought it would take 500 years...
  2. Maybe try something else than only FOX or Breitbart or whatever you inhale.
  3. In a way I understand your point. But he was officially convicted. So, IMHO, this brings up two options: a) He will be punished like any other criminal b) The conviction has to be overruled by a higher court or something like that. c) That he was convicted but then somehow nothing happens is not a viable option in a decent judicial system.
  4. Was he sentenced for the riot on Jan 6? Was he sentenced for "find me some votes"? There are lots of cases which should have been obvious convictions.
  5. If you read the news and you don't know what I am talking about, then unfortunately I can't help you.
  6. It shows us again what a farce the American system is. A banana republic. And now lead by a banana president. It would be funny if it wouldn't be so sad.
  7. Maybe the question is: How often does this already happen? Not every criminal is in public like Thaksin. There might be some cases with less publicity.
  8. Never say never. But I think realistically speaking, how could NATO profit from Ukraine membership? Arm sales, and that's about it. Obviously, politicians and "celebrities" can't just say: I don't care. But who does actually care? I guess very few.
  9. But we can have a look at the internet and see who shouts loudest about this issue. And we can see who speaks up against them and we can see who does not say anything. This all together gives us an idea who "these people" are.
  10. I wonder how many of Trump appointed people will actually start in that job. The change of president will happen in about two months. How many of them will have resigned and/or have been fired by Trump before that?
  11. Do you know anybody who is a violent LGBTQ+/- whatever supporter who is on the right? It seems to me they are all far left.
  12. Obviously, Putin did that - and he claims he was provoked. My point is that more and more escalation is bad for everybody. Is it easy to stand back and let the others do something bad? No. But maybe we should not directly use that as a reason for more escalation. Let's try to be calm and think twice.
  13. Escalation is a two-sided thing. A escalates and then B escalates and then A escalates more because B escalated. It's not really too difficult to understand this. "The west" and western media should not pretend Putin is the only one who is doing the escalating.
  14. "Shocking Online Threats: Trans Woman Targets JK Rowling and Nancy Mace in Call to Violence" Is it shocking? I don't think so. There are just too many crazy "progressives" out there. The so called right wing fights against them. Good. The so called "left" is mostly just quiet and let the extreme left do whatever they want. It's time for the center left to fight the extreme left to bring things back to normal again. I would guess at least 90% of the people oppose craze trans promotions, drag queens in schools and all this crap. Above happens because too many on the left do nothing to prevent it.
  15. Do you really think they care about Ukraine? I think most of them think about making sure Putin does not start war with any "important" countries and making lots of money with the arms trade. How many people (especially in the USA) did know Ukraine exist and could find it on a map before the invasion? I bet very few. And if Ukraine would not exist anymore, few would notice. That does not reflect my personal opinion. It's just how international politics, especially with our leader of the world, the USA, works.
  16. Why would NATO do that? Do you really think America or NATO will risk a nuclear war because of Ukraine? Who really cares about Ukraine?
  17. There is a difference between using nuclear weapons and using nuclear weapons. Will Putin use big size nuclear weapons and target the USA or UK? No. But how about a little nuke somewhere in Ukraine? How will Ukraine and the rest of the world react if he would do that? A lot of talking, sure. But will anybody react with a nuclear strike against any Russian territory or assets? I don't think so. That means Putin has a nuclear option, and if it's only to show the world that he can.
  18. I think it's good to start a department to cut cost. I don't think Musk will be there for a long time. But then the department is still there, hopefully cutting cost and not adding cost.
  19. Maybe it was just a rhetorical question. I know enough about psychology that some situations are difficult to handle. And I am sure there are some women out there who think about that one moment for the rest of their life, and it makes their life difficult. But for how many women is that the case? It seems there are a lot more women who suddenly remember something because a guy who they knew many years ago is now famous and rich. And then they seem to suddenly remember lots of details which they had forgotten already for years... Our memory is often not as good as we think it is. We "remember" things from many years ago which happened very differently. And we forget other parts which actually happened. For me the summary is: There might be 1% of real situations of above. And 99% is fantasy and greed and all that.
  20. It depends. Why is America (= the American taxpayer) spending so much on "Ukraine"? Who receives that money? Ukraine? Or do American politicians give the American taxpayers money to American weapons manufacturers? And those American weapons manufacturers donate huge amounts to American politicians? Obviously American politicians, like most other politicians in this world, all pretend this is about helping the Ukrainian people and all that. Is it? Or are those just the motives which sound so nice on TV? And this is obviously something independent of the political party. They all spend huge amounts, and all receive huge amounts of donations.
  21. I think it's good to recognize even if the bad guys did something right. Because then the good guys can pick up those ideas and make the best out of them. I think that is better than pretending the bad guys did only bad things. Because some people might argue: Look at this and that...
  22. I would be very surprised if Musk will work in that position for more than a couple of months. Trump and Musk have each a huge ego and a big mouth. I am sure there will be an interesting "shootout" with both of them.
