Justice minister praises Thaksin as a “peacemaker”

The red-shirt occupied Bangkok for months. They had huge barricades and war weapons. The authorities ask them to leave, many times, they didn't. The authorities provided free busses for them to go home, then didn't. And then finally, much too late, the army had to remove them all. The tomato police didn't do anything. Nobody had to die. And I am sorry for the soldiers who lost their lives while doing their job. -
I wonder how many Thais go to that place because they like good coffee and how many go there to walk out with something with a starbucks logo on it. Like: Look, here, I can afford to go there. I guess for those kind of people higher prices are better. Look, I can still afford it - at least until my credit card is maxed out.

The red-shirts. I remember one of their leaders said on stage people should bring gasoline and burn down the city. -
Really? 17 year old girls can't decide if they want to have sex or not? Get real!

I know Thai computer dealer have very small margins on products like HDDs. I suggest buy they here from a reputable company, including warranty. I am not sure if the following is still true, it was true a long time ago. At that time, I had a HDD which I bought in Europe when I was over there. It had a problem when I lived in Thailand, and I wanted to get it replaced on warranty. That was very difficult to do. If you buy it from a reputable shop in Thailand, and even if the shop goes bankrupt, it's easy to replace it on warranty. JIB is such a reputable shop, but obviously there are others.

Once you know that women can be charming females, you ignore those hateful feminists. -
I am sure this happens. I saw videos of those incidents on the internet. But how often does it happen? How often does it happen to real people in the real world? Is it something which happens every day? Or once a month? Or you have a friend who knows someone who had this happening? I have not much contact with people outside Thailand, and no contact to anyone in the USA. I simply don't know how often it happens in real life.
-
555 And I though the USA is a democracy, and the people vote for the government which they want. Or who put that "evil government" in charge?

Sometimes I watched podcasts like JRE. Sometime there are "normal" people. They have a conversation like they could have had 10 or 20 years ago. And then there are some people who seem live on the internet all the time. This was on twitter and that on reddit and this was viral and so and so was cancelled and all that. And then maybe they talk about what can be done against those trends and whatever. There is an easy solution: Live in the real world, don't care what some idiots on the internet do or don't do, and enjoy life. With the woke: I saw enough idiots like that on the internet, and comments about them, and strategies, and and and. But in real life I don't think I ever met any of these woke idiots. Maybe one of them walked on the other side of the street, and he ignored me, and I ignored him. That's about it. Let's just ignore all those idiots. Problem solved.

Imagine how US politicians would have reacted if a PM or president somewhere in almost any country in this world would have behaved like Trump. Some country's leader would have denied the result of an election and who would have told his supporters to reject democracy and fight for him. And that leader would have done nothing when the crowd would have chanted to hang the deputy leader. I am pretty sure America, the fighter for democracy, would have demanded that the traitor should be jailed or hanged. But if the same happens in America? Why was that traitor not arrested right away? And then they pretend to be the sample democracy in this world. Pathetic!

Never forget! -
The fact that he was not convicted until now doesn't mean he won't be convicted. I am sure there are lots of criminals out there waiting for their day in court which are pretty obviously guilty - but not yet convicted.
-
Yeah, his suicide was somehow interesting. I am pretty sure some of the people who visited that island had sex with young girls on their mind. And if those people had sex with anybody below the age of consent or against the will of them, then they should be prosecuted and punished. But I guess it is also likely that some people, I don't know how many, flew on those planes without having sex with anybody. Flying on a private jet, even with a convicted criminal, is, as far as I know, no crime.
-
Why is it funny to ask for evidence? With Trump, watch any videos from him, at it is pretty obvious that he is a serial liar, and he should be in jail. Where are all the videos from people on that island having sex with underage girls? And is it "human trafficking" if a guy brings young girls to a tropical island where they live in luxury? How many of those girls were put on those planes against their will? If someone kidnaps a person, transports them, and then forces that person to have sex against their will, that is human trafficking and rape. Flying voluntarily to a tropical island to live in luxury is something different.

Good that Gambia is far away from Thailand so that we don't see those perverse old women here playing around with young innocent guys. Disgusting!- 134 replies

Sorry, no, the fact that you think people should have known is not good enough for me. If this was all so obvious, why was there no legal trouble for a long time for many people? Look for example at lots of music videos. There are often lots of pretty young girls. I have no idea if that only happens in the videos of those celebrities or also in real life. But let's say people got invited to a party with Pitbull and there are tons of pretty sexy girls. What does it mean? Are those girls just happy to party? Do they sell their body? Are they all legal? I have to admit I wouldn't ask those questions if I would be invited to such a party. And I wouldn't assume they are all available. And I wouldn't assume everybody knows what's going on. But maybe that's only me.

PART 2 Thai Wife Being Bullied By Family
OneMoreFarang replied to thefarangteacher's topic in Marriage and Divorce
You have to live with what you do. If you feel comfortable with the way you live and the way your wife and her family live "together" with you, then go ahead. Personally, I sometimes think like: If I pay 1000B more to make them happy, and that saves me headache for x amount of time, is it worth it? We live in Thailand with lots of Thai people. At the end it's their country and their traditions. -

my way or the highway. Sure, you can do that. But do you expect to live like that happily ever after? IMHO if you live in Thailand and if you have a Thai partner/wife, then you have to accept a good part of Thai reality. If you don't do that you won't be happy and your wife won't be happy, and her family won't be happy. Not a happy future.
