  1. When you sign an insurance contract then you sign that you allow everyone who ever treated you to release all the information. And you have to answer all their questions correctly. You might think: that short visit at the doctor a couple of years ago doesn't matter. And maybe it doesn't. But maybe the insurance thinks otherwise. I think the principle is easy to understand. If you visit a doctor now because you have a cold and you want the money for that visit back, then don't worry. But if you plan an expensive heart operation then you can be sure the insurance will check your past records for anything they can use against you. And if it is important then expect them to dig, and dig deep.
  2. If he would have returned 10 years ago then he would be soon out of prison. Maybe a few years more. If he returns now, then maybe they let him out at his 90th birthday - if he behaves. Come on Thaksin, come back! Don't just talk too much as usual. Do it!
  3. In case you missed it: She is dying. And nothing will change that. I am pretty sure most people prefer to die at home with their family and don't want to die alone with professional support. If you want better service, then pay for it!
  4. Possibly the Maldives. At least the Maldives looked like that many years ago.
  5. Wow! Do they also have a couple of TikTokkers? I am so exited...
  6. That is not a good idea - at least not in the long term. Almost all modern devices, including ACs, have an internal procedure how they are turned off and on. Pulling the plug works - kind of. But this is not optimal. Think about a PC. Do you shut it down? Or just switch the power off? Same, same, not so different.
  7. Isn't it obvious? If money is your highest priority and that jobs is paid really well then go for it. Otherwise, don't.
  8. Inverters: A big part of the power consumption from ACs is how often they are switched off and on. Inverters regulate he speed, they don't switch on and off. That is the (or maybe one of the) reasons why they use less electricity. I agree with Daikin and Mitsubishi. Look at the features, i.e. control via WLAN. Do you want that? Are you willing to pay more for that feature or other features? Decide which features you want and pay only for what you want.
  9. That's the funny part. We can be pretty sure the investors of the new hospital thought about that question. And it seems they decided: Yes, it needs another expensive private hospital. Call it boutique and make it even more expensive.
  10. A "Boutique Hospital". I guess it will be even more expensive than the very expensive Bumrungrad in Bangkok. Amazing!
  11. When I bought my little Suzuki I checked the official Suzuki website. It seems some shops are only dealers, others also have an authorized service center and maybe spare parts sale. I would look for a shop which not only sells the bike but is capable of doing service, repair, etc.
  12. In general, I suggest you do one job, and you concentrate on that one job, and you learn and get better over time. Just finding "work" is not a good option.
  13. Thanks I think it is strange that often we see parts of articles on this forum, but important parts are not shown.
  14. Option 1: Wait for the situation to develop from bad to worse. Option 2: Lock up their criminal leader.
  15. Not if they are old, like older than 30. Thai guys, like farang guys, like girls and young women. Maybe up to end 20th. If you like it or not, that is reality.
  16. And do you see other regular guests in those places? Do you talk with some of them? I think it is almost impossible not to see people again and again. Just say hello. And say hello to everybody who you maybe want to talk to, not just the pretty girls. You don't have to walk away with a dinner date. Just make conversation, and another day more conversation. The rest will follow.
  17. I am sure I am not the only one here who wants to know: Why did you do that? Buying a condominium which you never saw in person sounds like a crazy idea to me.
  18. I wait for the follow up story when you see the place the first time. Good luck!
  19. No. A lot is up to the rider. Obviously you can't control everything. But you can anticipate crazy behavior from others. Many of us survived for decades - sometimes without even a single little crash.
  20. It seems he decided to ride a big bike with high speed. Everybody who does that is aware of the risk. Luckily he didn't kill anybody else. Case closed.
  21. In a way I agree with you. But there is a big "but". All pretty people get older. And most of them are a few years later not so pretty anymore. The pretty people got used to getting everything they wanted, just because they were pretty. As long as that lasted that was fine for them. But then there is the moment when they still think they can get everything, but they don't. Because they are suddenly not pretty anymore. And that is then a real problem for these people. After they experienced for years that they get everything for doing nothing they have to learn that suddenly that doesn't work anymore. There are lots of failed ex-pretty people out there.
