  1. Ok, so where did you see something like this in Thailand? I agree that thing in the picture is ugly. But I like the concept that is in not just a frame with a headboard and a mattress.
  2. Hello Furniture specialist what would you call such a thing and do they have something like this in Thailand? (continued below the picture) I found this here: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004317106092.html It just came up as advertisement one day and I clicked on it. I don't think that "bed" is what I want, but I like the idea of something different which is not just an ordinary bed. Most of us have a small table left and right. Maybe something like above is a kind of alternative with bookshelf build in, drawers, light, whatever. Where would I be able to find a bed which is not an ordinary bed in Thailand?
  3. Recently I bought tools from Bosch. I visited the Thai Bosch website and looked for authorized dealers. And they I bought from one of them. It wasn't cheap but I am sure it's the original. Personally I want quality tools. I know they are expensive but I also know that basically you can use them forever. Hassle and headache is the last thing we want. For that reason I wouldn't buy them from any unknown seller, especially if the price seems to be too good to be true. Maybe look at the Dewalt website and authorized dealers.
  4. The setting in your computer should match the pixels of the monitor. If your monitor has 2560 horizontal pixels and your notebook can only provide 1920 then you will have a bad picture! Because the monitor tries to show 1920/2560 = 0.75 signals for one pixel. That can't be perfect! On some monitors you have maybe a setting that the monitor shows only 1920 of those 2560 pixels. Some of the screen will be dark. But the picture quality will be better. If you watch movies (or anything moving) then the mismatch is not such a big problem. If you do i.e. CAD work or text that is not so great.
  5. Are you planning to do the work yourself or hire someone? If you hire someone then it is for sure a good idea to ask with what they worked before. What is their experience?
  6. Maybe ask the management or engineers in your building. Possibly they will know.
  7. If you don't want to be tracked that will be a lot of work and it will be expensive. And then there are still lots of people who will be able to track you. Better get used to it.
  8. 2017cc for 53k THB sounds like a bargain. Something like this?
  9. Intel NUC, small, compact, reliable. Over the years I build hundreds of desktop computers. 25 years ago that meant maybe 20 different parts. Now it's a NUC, RAM, M.2, done. For a "normal" computer that's all you need.
  10. And then somewhere things get too far. What's next? Sajid Javid criticises changes to NHS pages removing word ‘women’ https://www.theguardian.com/society/2022/jun/08/sajid-javid-criticises-changes-to-nhs-pages-removing-word-women
  11. To help you with the mystery. I bought a new condominium and I am currently renovating that from scratch. And while that is happening I still live in another condominium which I rent. And for me the names condominium and apartment are somehow interchangeable. I know the official term is condominium but I and many other people also use the word apartment for the same thing. I hope that solves the mystery for you. And when you write: "I'm trying to think what the OP has that he can't hide in a bedroom draw...The mind boggles." that is a sign of your strange mind. Are you one of those fb and instagram users who post everything about themselves all the time so that everybody can see it? I am not. I prefer privacy, even if there are no dead dogs to hide.
  12. I have no gold bars so I don't have to worry about those. My apartment is clean. But I am sure someone with OCD will find something to complain. I am working in my apartment including electronics and other projects for my new apartment. There are lots of boxes and this and that here and there. I am not in the mood to change any of that to make it look nicer for a visitor who I don't care about. He/she can see the walls and windows and bathrooms and kitchen and that should be enough for them to make a decision if they want to buy it. I will move anyhow out of that place in the foreseeable future. I will do what is necessary - and not more. I like my privacy. That is why I don't like that anybody takes pictures. It has nothing to do with hiding anything.
  13. Currently I am renting an apartment. The owner just informed me that she has someone who wants to look at the apartment and possibly buy it. She told me a date/time when the possible buyer wants to look. Ok, fair enough. But what are the rules now? I asked how many people will come. She told me three: an agent and two people. I don't want to have multiple people running around here independent from each other. Do I have to accept 3 people at the same time? And how about pictures? I have lots of things in my apartment which are my private property. I don't want that anybody makes pictures of these things and maybe publishes them on the internet. What are my rights? For the record: I visited occupied apartments before myself. I did it alone and I didn't take any pictures. Maybe the possible buyers are nice people and there is no problem. But I want to be prepared in case they behave like they can do whatever they want.
  14. When we see how hard many of those activists like to fight I wonder how they get on with each other. I.e. are the all gay men friendly with the lesbians who hate men? Do they all love and understand each other? Somehow I would be surprised if that would be the case.
  15. Do you also care about the coffee? Or does that not matter as long as you get a comfortable free seat and free WIFI?
  16. I don't think you are too stupid to understand what others write in this forum. But it seems you want to make a point that anybody who doesn't love all those LGBT+/- whatever is a white supremacist. They are not. You don't have to reply. I will block you now. I am open to fair discussions but accusations like above show your attitude.
  17. I wish. But look at reality. There are more and more incidents with crazy people in schools who influence the kids to extremes - at least in North America. And anybody who is opposed to this nonsense is declared a homophobic or worse. If you think it doesn't exist just google it.
  18. It is cultural. Just observe what Thai people do. If they want to cross the road do they look for green light? Do they look for zebra painting on the road? No. They look for vehicles on the road. And if there are any vehicles then Thais don't step on the road. It's obvious for those Thai people that cars and trucks are bigger and heavier then they are. So the smart move if obvious: Don't get into the way of something which is heavy and fast approaching. I would love to see interviews with ordinary Thais about (mostly) foreigners insisting that they can cross a road only because there are those markings on the road. I am sure most ordinary Thais will think: Why are those farangs so stupid? Why don't they open their eye and look for approaching cars? And why do they talk about zebra crossings and their right to cross the street. What do they learn in those countries far away? Why are they all so stupid? Many things and ways of thinking are different in Thailand. And often there is no right or wrong. They are just different. And anybody who wants to survive here better learns the local ways to do things. And about that example with mopping the floor: The cleaner has work to do. I.e. 10 jobs in 8hours. Should she come back every hour and look if maybe nobody is exercising? She is doing her work now and then. And whoever is in that room should open their eyes and see the floor is wet. Just be a little more careful. Do I like all Thai behavior? No. But I got used to a lot and I accept it most of the time. And looking at so called civilized countries and thousands of security rules and things which make life different I prefer Thailand.
  19. When will there be a crackdown against idiots who try to drive while they play with their mobile phones? And will such a crackdown include people in luxury cars? I see those idiots all the time and it seems the police just doesn't care at all. And how about a crackdown of people who drive their car in already congested junctions? Fine them!
  20. If someone had Covid with mild symptoms and then no symptoms anymore and an antigen rapid test is negative for a day or two, does that mean the person is not contagious anymore? Are there any established rules in Thailand when people can mix with other people again after they had Covid? I.e. if an employee tested for 7 days positive and today negative can he go back to the office?
