  1. So, did those subscribers actually read The Washington Post? Or was it more like: Look, here, I am subscriber. Just stupid!
  2. Let's look how that will work out. Did she consult with the more experienced politicians around her why nobody did that in the past? I wish her good luck.
  3. That's what lots of people think. Try it! I tried sirloin from the same shop two times, I will never buy it again. But ribeye is good. Maybe 10% or max 20% of it is not tender, and the rest is just fine and tastes good. That's good enough for me. And I don't eat 300g - too small.
  4. No garlic! I hate garlic! I buy Thai ribeye. It's pretty good and about 550B per kg in Foodland. Salt, about 3min on each side in a pan. On the plate, add butter and pepper. Ready to eat. This time with lots of mushrooms.
  5. Doing the accounting or what? Are you really concerned about a couple of WiFi signals?
  6. I think that is what everybody should do. That whole endorsing business seems to be something very specific American. Why should anybody care who this guy or that company endorses? Should all readers from X vote Harris because X endorsed her? Should they feel bad if they vote for someone else? How about: Get the facts. Think! And then vote for whoever you think is the best candidate.
  7. Speak for yourself. It's a question of how much. And "drunk" is a very relative term.
  8. Sure, something can happen even to the best drivers under the best conditions. And many factors make it more likely that something will happen. We all manage our risk and risk factors.
  9. Yes, I agree. There will be some slower response even after only one or a few drinks. I think the question is how much slower and compared to what. I ride motorcycle in Bangkok, and I see all the time people playing with their mobile phones and they try to drive at the same time. Many of these people have a horrible reaction time - because they look at their phone and not the street. If I would drive drunk in Bangkok, concentrating on the street and nothing else. Would my reaction time be worse than all those people who play with their phones? I have my doubt. And since I visited driving school decades ago, I know and accept the principle of safety distance. This helps a lot in all situations which need reaction time. A second more to react because I don't drive right behind someone but leave some space is always a good idea. How many people in Thailand do that?
  10. I guess you must be careful that there is some air circulation because of the moisture. This is just a guess.
  11. Where does your experience come from? When I was a little younger in a country far away I had often enough too many drinks to legally drive. In the hindsight I am not proud of that, but that's what it was. My philosophy was always to drive careful in such condition. Not too fast, careful when making turns, things like that. I never had an accident or even any dangerous encounter. At that time, I drove about 20,000km per year, I guess lots of experience helps. And with drinking: We also get used to drinking. Some are drunk after a few drinks; some can handle a lot more. All in all, it would be good if nobody would drive under any influence. And nobody should drive playing with a smart phone and all that. I am pretty sure I with a few drinks drive mostly still better that those smombies with a screen in front of their face.
  12. I wouldn't rely on unproven data, and I wouldn't make up my own "science" about what is good or bad. I think sometimes we just have to admit that we don't know. IMHO, this is one of those cases.
  13. There was a time when I eat whatever I wanted, as much as I wanted, and I was slim. Then I continued like above, but are not so slim anymore... 😉
  14. Many years ago, I met many girls fresh from up country. I guess many of them worked in the fields and had lots of "exercise".
  15. Obviously over the years there are more not so slim women in Thailand. But luckily there are still plenty of slender beauties out there. Yesterday I stumbled upon this video from an American gym, with some well-known YouTubers. Looking at those fat ugly women in that gym, I wonder how the women outside of gyms look over there. Maybe Thailand is not so bad after all. from: https://youtu.be/77LWFo_EYUQ?si=3nnCGHlDbC7HHAav
  16. And how accurate are results like that? And is it good if water is pure? It seems lots of bottled water companied advertise that their water includes this and that and whatever.
  17. Can you please explain how that happens. If there was a floor i.e. 4m x 4m with tiles 20 years ago. What is the situation now? Not a flow with 4m x 4m anymore? I understand that tenting can happen because of temperature differences. But if those tiles survived the temperature differences for many years, what changed now?
  18. What is under those tiles? Concrete? Or some wood construction? Maybe the problem are not really the tiles but what is below those tiles. And to repair that could be a lot more expensive than just replacing tiles. This is just a guess.
  19. For those here who would never ever do that: Are you really (at least a little) drunk after a few drinks? Personally, I feel any mild symptoms maybe starting after the 5th drink or so. Obviously, if I had 2 or 3 drinks, I remember that I had those drinks. But listening to my body I don't think I feel any alcohol symptoms.
  20. I think most of us know if we had a few drinks, are medium drunk, or are totally drunk. If I had a few drinks, let's say maybe 3 glasses of wine for lunch, I will drive the 2km back home. A long time ago I also drove when I was medium drunk. Like, I knew I was not able to drive on full capacity, but I still could handle low traffic low risks streets. In those cases, I made sure I don't drive fast, and I didn't take any risks. I never drove totally drunk. That is certainly a bad idea.
  21. In a way, yes. But maybe they were looking for some time to fire him. Now they had a reason. The text above is certainly not what should be send to a 5-star hotel guest from a 5-star hotel manager.
  22. What do you get for that? A seat on a table and free toilet use? Or maybe a welcome drink and a few hors d'oeuvre?
  23. How romantic. Darling, I am coming. Darling, me too, I take it out now.
  24. Do that and remove anybody form the Shinawatra family from politics. That would be a good start.
