  1. Breeding from only one pair? He might need to increase his gene pool. Finding a use for those long tail feathers might be a secondary income. Though a bit too long for quill pens.
  2. You had better get into the mobile phone business Elon. All those people will want something to pass the time away if not working. See Thailand. Even with work they can't take their eyes off their screens. imagine it 1000 times worse.
  3. £1500 a month? I couldn't open the link to Mail Online, but for accommodation and 24 hour care, if that includes all meals, that is a steal. Not sure about the one in Chiangmai though. the pollution for several months a year isn't good for anyone...young or old. The old boy in that last photo looks like he can't take his eyes off that nurse. 😀
  4. I wonder why the large discrepancy in pricing between countries. Thailand THB139, UK £12, US $13.99
  5. I see many students in the malls in the coffee shops such as the True one in Siam Paragon, studying or doing their homework. I always presumed they were there because it was likely better than at home, with fast wifi, free air-con and their friends.
  6. Sort of at the moment. I am hobbling around on crutches due to a motorbike accident. But the shoe thing was due to trying on two different sizes, and the salesgirl put two different sizes in the bag. I sent the wrong one back and they sent me the correct one. So it cost me postage AND whatever the customs charged me. They seem to be a lot more stricter nowadays. Many of my parcels from the UK used to get through without problem. Everything seems to be opened or x-rayed and charged for now.
  7. Weren't there two right next to one another? One selling chicken and rice, and the other duck and rice? Not the same restaurants, but shared the same seating?
  8. OP. Please let us know if it does have your address if you get one from your local branch. I downloaded one today from the app and it doesn't have my home address on it. I need something for proof of address purposes, and a bank statment addressed to me would fit the bill. Next stop my internet provider.
  9. Been watching snippets of this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-NUOtvr7B8 Full concert coming this month. Here is a sample:
  10. Pretty much the same everywhere. I was reading an article a couple of weeks ago about how much airlines actually make on ticket sales. It quoted a flight from UK to the US (can't remember the departure or arrival points, but the ticket cost was 50p. The rest of the fare was made up of all sorts of taxes and fuel fees.
  11. Some love us, some hate us, and all shades in between. Same as anywhere really.
  12. My eyes are getting bad. I read that last bit as "who needs engines?"
  13. Once you land in japan, you should be able to buy yourself a 5G SIM card. A Mensa candidate Japanese girl, means she has the intellect to be even more devious than a dumb one. Enjoy your search.
  14. He has certainly made the news today. In another thread he wants to legalise gambling and casinos.
  15. Possibly some type of "keyhole" surgery on his shoulder joint or tendons.
  16. Physics...https://phys.org/news/2011-10-silver-white-cars-cooler.html#:~:text=White%2C silver%2C and other light, cooler than traditional dark colors. Same reason many houses are painted white and not black in hot countries.
  17. I love watching Muay Thai, but I cringe when I see Rodtang "The Ironman" doing his thing of putting his hands down and letting his opponents punch him to the head. Trying to show that they cannot hurt him. I wonder if any of his trainers warn him of the concussive damage to his brain he is taking.
  18. Light cars for not only being cooler in the daytime, but more visible at night.
  19. Chugging only olive oil might make you stick close to the toilet. Very close. However. As part of what is known as a mediterranean diet, it is said to lower cholesterol, and help prevent diabetes. On a lighter note. How often will you go in for an oil change?
  20. He should be scared. A guy who used an official government car for personal use was given a 52 year jail sentence last week.
