  1. My doctor once prescribed me Lamisil, (Terbinafine is the active ingredient), which worked for me. I think you can buy it over the counter, but best to read up on any medicines before using them without a doctor's advice.
  2. Me too.. Been sitting on the side for two weeks. Tried one yesterday. Still hard and sour. i usually try to buy fruit that originates from pretty much anywhere except China or India. Preferably N.Z. or Aus. But Tops has been getting a bit lax with their labelling lately. Difficult to tell what is from where.
  3. Oh they understand all right! Not sure about supporting it though.
  4. So. Let us take over In other words, let all your potential tourists first arrive in Thailand. That way we can collect all the tourist tax, and hopefully they won't bother travelling any further. Perhaps we can also take over your border controls and process all your visa arrivals.
  5. And another one right now. A couple of fans ticking over, but that's about it. No water pump, so no shower. Does anyone know a number where I can make a complaint? i doubt it will make much difference, but it's worth a try.
  6. Thanatorn, FFP, Limcharoenrat, MFP. The old guard really don't want them holding the reins of power. I hope the "new" party is squeaky clean, and learn from past failures. Don't give their enemies anything to use against them next election.
  7. If they do, they will probably not get re-elected next time. The people will not forget. MFP 2.0 or some other name will form and continue the fight.
  8. How can it be a democracy if some laws are not allowed to be changed, or even thought about being changed? You can vote a party in, but only if they keep the status quo. Not different ideas allowed.
  9. Bangrak. Near Green Plaza. Also had another one yesterday morning. I saw the PEAs working on the cables. One was hanging down and they were also removing plant growth.
  10. intestinal worms are a fact. They vary from small to large. Tapeworms can be several metres long.
  11. Here is the recipe I use. I prefer to use chicken breast rather than leg. I also use Waugh's Curry Powder from Tops. https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/chinese-chicken-curry?IGNORE_GEO_REDIRECT_GLOBAL=true&v=473851054
  12. Thinking of making my Chinese takeaway style chicken curry for dinner tonight.
  13. +1 on Rutnin Eye Hospital. I can personally recommend it.
  14. The article doesn't say what the punishment was. Making it severe enough to deter others might be better than wasting money on mental health checks.
  15. Some reasons I can think of: 1. Thai is a difficult language to learn. Whereas many asylum seekers speak some English. 2. The UK's generous health and Social security system. When you are used to a mud hut without running water, <deleted>ting in a hole in the ground, and likely having to work in the fields for long hours for a pittance, being told you are given a free house, free healthcare, free money and clothes for your children, and many of your compatriots are already there to help you, these are big incentives. I know this isn't the case for all asylum seekers, but it is for many Imagine the phone call back home: I have been given a house for free. It has electricity, hot and cold running water, all paid for. They give me free money every week. I don't even have to work. The doctor, medicine and school are all free. You need to get here as fast as you can. What puzzles me is why large numbers pass through the rest of Europe and risk their lives crossing the Channel. What is wrong with France for example? I even thought of retiring there myself. In he end I suppose its not much different to us all living here in another country. Although most of us pay our own way
  16. She gets through 5 kilos of sugar daily? What does she have? A Thai food stall?
  17. There is a Youtube video about this. I watched it several months ago. As OP says, most are in the back of beyond.
  18. We have another one at this very moment. GF said there was a bang from the overhead cables as she drove by near to our place. That's six since 24th June, not including the constant quick on offs that frequently happen.
  19. Evel Knievel has been lying low in Thailand all these years...until now.
  20. Tell that to Sonya Massey
  21. Only thing worse than a cop is a cop wearing a "Thin Blue Line" gang badge. UK police are fast turning into their US brethren.
  22. That temple will get a lot of visitors prior to next month's lottery. So even more donations.
  23. I wonder if he wrote the song himself. I heard he had a penchant for writing musical ditties. https://edition.cnn.com/2014/06/12/world/asia/thailand-prayuth-songwriter/index.html
  24. I suppose you not being Swedish (going by your username) took some of the worry away while you slept.
  25. And yet another one. One or two fans working. No water, no air con. Lights very dim. This has been far too frequent lately.
