Help us out here. Why don't you summarize them for us, in your own words? Feel free to dumb it down so us simple folks can understand it.

Being successful is all about state of mind.
impulse replied to Elvis Presley's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Being successful is all about state of mind. Having a full head of hair, Tom Selleck good looks, and rich parents can't hurt, either. -
Or, I could follow Clarence Thomas on the topic. That way, I could hear about 250+ years of precedents, in up to date English. We've already had a discussion about how W dismantled a bunch of agencies after 9/11. But venue shopping wasn't as much of a lefty thing back then. The old Dem party realized that what comes around, goes around. That's before they went off the rails.

Not as simple as that. They call them District Judges for a reason. It's in the OP. And they probably have entire semester long classes on the topic in law school.

Tramadol Sales Exposed in Suphan Buri Illegal Pharmacy Raid

The Ultracet I've seen in Bangkok is 35mg tramadol with Paracetamol. Maybe it comes in different mixes, but that's what I have seen. Widely available. On an aside, the few times I did take Tramadol for my tooth pain, it interfered with my sleep. Crazy dreams, and not of the good kind. -

I forgot what the limit was... Just that there was a limit. What a hoot. -

She gets Oxycontin. But they're very tight on the number they'll give her. As if addiction is her biggest concern when she's in cancer level pain a lot of the time. I stay in Chinatown on my monthly visa runs to Thailand, so I'm very familiar with the lay of the land. The Boots that I used were around Asoke, where I used to work. They were hit and miss with their stock. But those purchases were recent. Post Covid for sure. -

Labour’s Attack on Academies Will Harm the Future of Education

Maybe true, but it's hard to tell which sources took USAID money and can't be trusted. Besides, that's what interweb forums are for. -

Tramadol Sales Exposed in Suphan Buri Illegal Pharmacy Raid

All over Chinatown, they have 50mg. Some places will only sell 2 packs of 10 pills, some will sell more. Boots had 100mg, but their price was well over 2x what I paid for 50mg. (Boots required recording the sale with my passport). All in the past 20 months, as recently as last month. I have a specific purpose in buying it for a friend who has cancer, and the meds her doctors give her often don't relieve her pain between doses. Personally, I've taken maybe 3 or 4 Tramadol pills when I had a toothache and needed an extraction or a root canal. I've found that a combination of Ibuprophen and Paracetamol work just as well (suggested by my dentist). But that's another topic for another thread. -

I've bought Tramadol 100mg at Boots. I've bought Tramadol 50mg all over Bangkok. It can't be that illegal... -
Nope. It all started with the end of merit based incentives and advancement. It became all about box ticking. Which is not how you get stellar, world leading results.

Labour’s Attack on Academies Will Harm the Future of Education
impulse replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Not being from the UK, I wonder if the main criticism would be that Academies widen the divide between the Haves, who can afford to send their kids private and the Have-Nots who are stuck in the public schools with even less support now because the rich kids aren't in there. Can someone from the UK illuminate me on the topic? -
Not to mention most of them us are looking back at decades of paystubs where 15% of their our salaries went toward what some people are now calling "entitlements". I think it's important to differentiate between Social Security that's getting paid back to retirees who have paid in all their lives and "Social Security" for those who may have never paid in a dime. But that probably makes me a mean person, a deplorable.

We were, until the woke mind virus infected the USA. Started in the '60s. They called it The Great Society. What it really was is 60 years of reparations disguised by other names. It's been downhill ever since, with a few brief respites. Hopefully, the next 12 years will reverse that downward spiral.

bamgkok versus Seoul for medical tourism?
impulse replied to HermesHermes's topic in Health and Medicine
Seriously, I don't know that the OP can get a valid answer from posters on AN who have actually done both or even run the numbers to compare. That's a question for the interwebs. I'm sure there are websites that do just that kind of comparison. But I'm not sure I'd trust their (probably paid) recommendations. Besides, too many variables. Details about the actual work to be done, tolerance for waiting (as in gub'ment vs private hospital), etc. Plus, how much recovery time at hotel and food rates. I love visiting Seoul but just staying there is much spendier than visiting Bamgkok. Hospitals? Not a clue here... -
What's your favourite milk to put in coffee?
impulse replied to tomster's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Preferably of a virgin hottie. If only I could find one... Back to the OP, I like the fact that, in Asia, I can buy milk in tiny single serving boxes. I use it all the time in coffee and my morning oatmeal. Back home, I binned most milk because it went bad before I used it. It's hard to find milk in a box back there. I just look for the stuff that's not advertised as "low fat" or "vegetable based". They all seem to taste fine. Edit: On an aside, I prefer my French press to the zoomy coffee machines. I loved the $1000 machine at the office but we had a lady that spent half an hour a day cleaning it.
