Nonsense ! , a foreigner can own the house and therefore be registered on the title as the owner of the actual building with a Thai or a Thai enterty owning the land. This is the exact way I own my house in Thailand , the land in a Thai company and the actual house on the land in my name , all clearly registered on the title deed.

A great video for BBW admirers

It looks like a typical Thai fight , fout or five onto one , with the odd one running in with a weapon , in this case a plastic chair. Seen it all so many times before . If they want a fight , then why not a civilised straightener one on one. In my opinion put any one of these animals one on one and they will run away , this lot can only fight in a pack .

How To Avoid The 'Wham Bam, Thank You' Scam
Brick Top replied to Brewster67's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Actually , good sensible advice . I too have lived here now over 20 years and had various relationships with Thai ladies and fortunately by using basic common sence not been scammed. I have seen over the years guys turn up here and do the most stupid things. -
Absolute nonsense , there is no roaming costs for receiving and opening an SMS whilst overseas

Are you having the average amount of sex?
Brick Top replied to LaosLover's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Well I am 65 and I have sex twice a week and Beat the Bishop every day -
Yes , it is possible , I did mine a few weeks ago , claimed back 28,765 baht , its quite easy , just go to the bank , in my case 3 different banks. Obtain a certificate of tax deducted for the past 3 years. Take this along to your " local tax office" , they will issue you a Tax ID card and after filling in tax returns for you ( fee was fir me 200 baht ) They send you a cheque which you take to Krungthai bank to cash. The whole process took me half a day .

Overcharging Phuket Motorbike Taxi Driver Attacks Foreign Tourist
Brick Top replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
I actually saw that exact same motorbike taxi guy today , he was very near Phuket Palace in Patong , one thing i noticed immediately is he has NO Yellow Plate on that Honda PCX , just an ordinary White plate . So he isn't even a proper licensed motorbike taxi , i watched him take off like a lunatic and drive straight across Sirirat Road almost causing an accident to pick pick up a fare at the Family mart across the other side of the road -
Update to above : I received an SMS today informing me everything was ok now and I didn't need the facial recognition. So I go to my SCB app and try and guess what , exactly the same , I can't do it , same message comes up saying , the bank does not have my facial recognition and I need to go to the bank with my ID.
-
I have had a similar experience but worse , about a month ago I went to the Bangkok bank to get the facial recognition done , in and out in 10 mins all done. The next stop Krungsri bank , again in and out very quickly , no problems. Then off to my 3rd bank the SCB , waited 30 minutes in the queue, then I was told , this is for Thai people only , foreigners don't need to do. Then on July 5 , I got the message on my app that I now needed to get the facial recognition done as from July 4 it said. So , then I tried to make a transfer for exactly 50,000 to my Bangkok bank , rejected. The app then informed me to change the settings in my app to allow me to transfer up to 200,000 without the facial recognition. Tried that , again rejected saying the bank does not have my photo in there system. Then I went to the bank, same lady as before , she says I need to call the call center as she cant organise the facial recognition for foreigners. I explained the app told me to come to bank , again she said " can not , but you can come to the bank if you need to make a transfer ". Then phoned the call center again , was told I would need to sign some documents waving the banks responsibly if my money goes missing. I had no choice but to sign , the lady then told me it would take 3 days for head office to consider .

Land ownership
Brick Top replied to KayDeeDee's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
He could as my friend did sell the land to a newly formed Thai company and become the sole director and therefore be able to control that company. He then could also register any house on that land into his own name or another option get the Thai company to give him a 30 year lease on the land to further secure it. -

Incorrect , he can legally own the house and have it registered in his name but not the land -
I had two private pensions one with Prudential and one with Commercial Union . When I reached 50 in 2008 , I telephoned Prudential and they informed me I could merge both pensions together and then put them in there "With Profits Pension Scheme" and take the pension immediately at 50 years old. They gave me a lump sum equivalent to 25% of both the pensions and I have been receiving a good monthly pension ever since for the past 15 years. It gives me a return of around 7% of what the remaining 75% of what my pension was worth in 2008 . I found the whole process very easy to do on the phone and by email with Prudential.
