  1. I am confused about the dead money in the Thai bank account. I am thinking that when I reach that point, I will simply take the 800k invested and move it from my investment into the bank 3 months ahead. Once done move 400 back to investment then move the other back depending on the market. Luckily I am Canadian and can do the paperwork with the embassy LOL
  2. Forecast the Chao Praya river freezing and people playing hockey on it about the same time that he actually serves time in a prison.
  3. Hope not the GF will be mad embarrassed LOL
  4. If you are applying it is just as easy to get the necessary paperwork and take it yourself. Why involve or pay someone that might get you a legit visa. The process is simple if you go prepared. The information and paperwork that you need is easy to access. There are experts here that can guide you alsoyou can bring up what is needed simply searching the internet. As to how fast it is or how easy it is simply check with the Thai Embassy https://www.siam-legal.com/thailand-visa/Thailand-Retirement-Visa.php
  5. Online actually makes corruption easier. People can submit false documents. Face to face is the best way. I am willing to bet that there are more honest staff than on the take. Like anything this is going to take a change in mentality. More like this as well as stings will resolve a lot but it has to be done in all section of the government
  6. You are right, but this is happening all over the World. The other thing that is happening is kids charging their parents with child abuse. Parents are too involved in their own world and their own problem s to take time to look at their kids.
  7. Parents need to step up and take responsibility for their kids. If teachers could let the family know that there is a problem and have parents that cared it would be a lot easier.
  8. Have you ever taught in a class room orca group of kids. No there was no capital punishment at my or my daughter's house. I had other means of getting my point across usually loss of privilege or writing times tables
  9. It's not just the u.k. Canadian banks and possibly American have the same rule. My bank records show me in Thailand visiting but I still have an address for my account in Canada with my daughter. The only thing that goes there is my new bank card or visa card when they expire. If I lose my card they send it to me here. It is a government law about people living outside Canada not being able to have an account
  10. I liked it more for the chicken ranch. Lolthey are very popular in the u.s. if I am not wrong Germany has them also. Perfect solution to prostitution everything in one building
  11. Been there done that. That is why I teach private. You are wrong however this is not just a Thai problem with students look at the u.s. and u.k. Teacher takes away Gameboy student beats up teachers. Parents these days do not teach self respect or consequences for actions. It would be interesting to know what the home life is like. Who rule's the family. My father's outlook was that if I screwed up at school I took the punishment if he heard about it then I was in deeper trouble. Daughters school had a homework book if she screwed up I got notified in the book and dealt with it at home. She instituted the same with grandkids oldest is dean's list with 3.9 at university.
  12. Forgot all about JJ market (old man brain fart) Definitely go there not only do they have great stuff but you might also find someone tht can make the kind you want. Just wear light clothes and drink lots of water.
  13. I saw this on FOX and thought, with all the talk about ladies of the evening (and daytime) here in LOS, that it was interesting https://www.foxnews.com/sports/raiders-jimmy-garoppolo-receives-raunchy-offer-nevada-brothel-workers-legit-babe Also, chicken ranches may be what they need here in Thailand
  14. OP as you probably gathered there is not a lot known about what you are doing. I would strongly suggest that you PM UBONJOE He is the resident expert on immigration and would be able to steer you in the right direction and give you real advice.
  15. We have had this conversation before
  16. The funny thing about this is that there was a good chance she could have beat any serious jail time if she had of just reported it. Lighting in the area was bad, boy had been drinking, no sidewalk Heel I think at one point even the boys dad called it a terrible accident
  17. Hi Looking to go to Samed for Songkran and wondered what the rules are. Are the snorkelling boats working yet Also is it still one port entry with the rip off taxis or can you get boats to your beach? I assume you no longer have to do the covid test before boarding boats
  18. But this is in fact what is needed. Set a liveable wage at all levels with a guarantee of 5 years and loss of pension as well as family wealth
  19. Looking the other way is cheaper than paying these people a liveable wage.
  20. MSH just got the Cdn government contract for expats I am wondering if anyone here has ever dealt this them and can shed some light on what they are like THANK YOU
  21. This shows how the political system here works it has nothing to do with ideology but who can get me the best job and the most money. This is the old guard at their best hopefully, other parties do not follow suit It would also be a bold move if the PT said thanks but no thanks after all anyone in the present government is responsible for where we are.
  22. Graffiti artists have shown their love for him. His are the only ones that they are tagging
  23. When you lived in the world, you get knowledge. I am sure that there are people he is protecting that are aware if anything happens to him files video and other stuff implicating them will appear.
