    I met a farang in Pattaya who went to see about treatment in a well known public hospital, he was asked for 500 Bt upfront even before seeing a doctor. the hospital was full of waiting Thai patients. Am I to believe that all these Thai's waiting for treatment had paid 500Bt at the reception in advance, or does it only apply to farangs?

    I always say no one can get what you haven't got. One reason why the vast majority of my money is always out side of Thailand.

    I was at the post office, but there was one of the usual Thai holidays today. This is Thailand, all these holidays.

    I folded up a piece of paper and made as if to put it in an envelope. She just shook her head as if to say no.

    Yes I do that sometimes but I did not have my phone with me.

    Here's one to start off. I went into a stationers shop for a packet of envelopes, looked through the whole shop and could not find any anywhere. the assistant could not speak English, but surely the first thing you would notice would be envelopes and writing pads beside all the pens and pencils, of which there were plenty.

    Thai immigration is more into paperwork than computers. It will be a lot harder for them to sift through all their paperwork, as most of them are not that computer literate.

    What about the unelected soldier PM who took over the country in an illegal coup and stayed for 9 years? Goodness knows how much his own personal bank accounts rose in that time.

    I worked mostly as a musician, I both enjoyed it and was interested in it, that is why I travelled to Memphis on three occasions to see Graceland, and the Grand ole Opry in Nashville, and was invited by a band performing in a Nashville country club to join them on stage for a few songs.

    I doubt if you will see any more beer bellies in any country in the world than Pattaya. The reasons for that I would think is pretty obvious.

    Neither do I, just like the Russian- Ukraine war it just gives the capitalists an excuse to raise prices all over the world.

    Things started to get worse after the illegal coup in 2014, and with soldiers involved with todays government led by another unelected PM things will not get much better.

    "I don't find men attractive to look at." I certainly don't, no man is more straight than me, but I can tell if a guy is goodlooking or not. ie a young Elvis was very goodlooking but Elton John (Peltin Elton) is pot ugly.

    I used to enjoy Blue Bloods, but got fed up waiting for the credits to end at the start of the show and just stopped watching it.
