  1. I've removed the name of the hospital for legal reasons, shouldn't affect the responses.
  2. If you can get it shipped with HS code 8713 https://www.cybex.in/hs-codes/carriages-for-disabled-persons-motorised-heading-8713.aspx It should be zero duty plus 7% VAT on the CIF cost from either Germany or Singapore. BUT That might get classed as "medical equipment" and require an import licence which could end in a world of hurt! Really best to talk to the sellers and ask if they can ship DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) which should mean no nasty surprises at this end.
  3. And, as if by magic ...
  4. Have you actually signed up for TOU (Time Of Use) metering, if so: - https://www.pea.co.th/Portals/1/Knowledge PEA/Electricity Tariffs JAN66 Unofficial Translation.pdf?ver=2023-01-27-133655-423 You will be 1.2.2, weekend is the same rate as off-peak.
  5. In other news: - Python complains about unjust detainment and removal. In a statement Monty said "I was just heading to the mall for some shopping when I was jumped by a bunch of guys, bundled into a box, and dumped in the forest miles from anywhere. I may sue".
  6. So, will they be ensuring that climate-change happens in Thailand?
  7. In my suitcase in the laundry bag with my dirty underwear and socks
  8. Spectacles should attract 5% duty on the CIF (Cost Insurance Freight) value plus 7% VAT on the total. The couriers often also charge a handling fee. If you can get stuff shipped DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) then there "should" be no further charge, but I don't know if DHL offer that service from the US. In reality, the good old postal system offers a pretty decent service for small fairly low-value items which often get through with no additional fees. EDIT It seems that DHL do in fact do DDP. https://www.dhl.com/th-en/home/our-divisions/global-forwarding/customer-service/incoterms-2020.html
  9. Yeah ^^^. I've found that stuff on Lazada, even if it's shipped from "overseas" (China) tends to arrive faster than the same thing from Aliexpress.
  10. Yeah, I believe this is why the women-only events were organised in the first place, to get more girls into the "sport". But how a trans-woman would be at an advantage I'm not really sure.
  11. No, as far as your installation is concerned the limiting factor is still your incoming breaker and the size of the cables feeding the house.
  12. "X" is an unknown and a "spurt" is a drip under pressure! My business card says "Specialist".
  13. He already has the non-O entry. So just the bank account and retirement extension (needing the bank account implies he doesn't have seasoned funds).
  14. What kind of entry are you on right now? Visa exempt, non-immigrant?? Topic title edited to be more useful ????
  15. @GammaGlobulin how are you re-heating your egg dish (I'm staying out of any discussion of spelling of the "O" word)? Don't they go rubbery? Special technique? Have you tried the pasteurised eggs in a bottle? Just measure the relevant volume for 5 eggs and cook. No cracking etc. The British Army and Royal Navy use them by the gallon to make scrambled egg, it was luxury to use an RAF canteen coz you got actual handmade scrambled eggs ????
  16. I knew I'd seen one somewhere... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RevoPower
  17. Nearly https://www.solex-motobecane.com/documentation/80_Solex_4600_V2-V3_Owner_s_Handbook.pdf
  18. OK. I have noted that "some" lesser-known brands seem to be slightly under-size when measured. I have some "6mm2" stranded that fits comfortably in a 4mm2 crimp! Brand? Think German mid-20th century dictator. Bangkok Cable and Thai Yazaki are of the better kind, I would stick with them.
  19. I think at this point we should draw a veil over the unit things and get back to the real subject.
  20. Lightning would blast 1.5mm2 into next week
  21. I'll just go and install some number 12 cable for that water heater, or maybe number 10 would be more appropriate ... EDIT - Maybe we need a rule on "Unit Police" posts on the same lines as for "Grammar Police" ????
  22. OK, it's incorrect, but we all most of us understood what he meant. If I corrected every post where someone says they used XX Kw on their energy bill ...
  23. Isn't that what he said? Measure the diameter of each strand, calculate the area of each, multiply by the number of strands?
