Yeah, this is all about KYC (Know Your Customer) and is a government requirement ???? Thais have to do it too. You should have received an email with instructions on how to get your wallet contents out to your bank without actually activating.

Everything from Cooper is a goodie. I saw him live just about a month before he died, he only had to walk out, not a word, audience rolling on the floor ???? A sad loss, way too soon ????

If they are LiFePO4 rather than Li-ion there's very little risk of them going into thermal-runaway ????

Yup. Are your inverters etc. remote from the house? If so, it might be better to set them up as a TT "island" with a local earth rod and no earth connection back to the house ground. This is how our solar car-port is grounded, local rod and 2-core cables to the house.

I was also being mean to the Diplodocus; I understand their brain was actually the size of a tennis-ball ???? -

Does a T-Rex really convey the friendly face of government?? Maybe a Velociraptor would be closer? Or a Diplodocus - slow and with a brain the size of a walnut? -
Thai grand-daughter (15) wants to sit in the PM's seat at Government House! She says she can do a better job! I believe her!

No way to get away with this now ????

Must be a mistake. I only wanted a cheese and Marmite roll and a coffee, but the man in Starbucks seems to have charged me for an Audi R8!

I'm assuming you're not looking for gloves to be used for "live-working" (which is highly not recommended), so any of the disposable nitrile gloves will protect your hands from mild chemicals and your battery and other connections from your human oils. To be honest, I've never bothered with gloves.

I really don't like the UPVC ones, they look tacky IMHO. Madam wouldn't have them in the house! We have the teak door units from HomePro in our concrete and granite base units. Matching all-wood for the wall units from the same place. Apart from a couple of hinges failing (standard size, easy fix) they've been great since 2012.

Seen in a UK bookstore. Image from Facebook. One Facebook comment "At first, I thought it was the front and back covers"

Thanks. I wasn't sure if it was similar to the UK where the limit is/was 12 seats on a car licence. Long, long ago I bought an 18 seat long-wheelbase Ford Transit, I couldn't drive it on my car licence until I took out two rows of seats (made a space for our two Old English Sheepdogs), then the same vehicle was perfectly legal.

Yup, I believe so. I'm not aware of any equivalent to the UK SORN (Statutory Off Road Notice). When you go to tax again you have to pay back-tax and a (small) fine, there may be a cap on how much you actually have to pay but ... Again, if anyone knows better, please post.

Not really, the article (sort of) implied that they could have installed suitable security and hadn't. I've not used a Thai gym (too many bits falling off now) but the last time I went to a sports-centre in the UK there were cubicles for changing, nice and private and the locker area was just that, an area with lockers no naked bodies running around so cameras would be just fine.

Blue plates for vans (and green plates for 2-door pickups) are a lower taxation class than the black plates. There's a list of all the various plates here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle_registration_plates_of_Thailand Note that you may not be permitted to drive your blue-plated van on a regular car licence (I stand to be corrected on this point).

Who the flip wears this much bling when going out and about, let alone to the gym where it's going to be in a locker? Hmm, I can't imagine who could have arranged that
