  1. So he wasn't wrong then?
  2. Not even hypothetical ????...you are in the clear, having reported within the 15 days before/7 days after.
  3. 7 days is the official 'grace period' if reporting in person. 15 days before... No grace period for online reporting.
  4. I understand your point, but in reality, with EMS, a passport can be retrieved within 48 hours. I know people in the Boonies who post their passport, and application, to agents.....it is often the best option available for them. The risk of not getting the passport back in time for an extension renewal (or even a 90 day report) is of greater concern to most than not actually being in possession of the passport.
  5. 1. Registration is at the Land Office. 2. There is no time limitation, the usufruct remains on the chanote.
  6. I think the only purpose of presenting the current passport to VfS is for identification purposes - and to check the photocopied pages. It is therefore logical to return the current passport to the presenter. Where an agent is involved the passport should be immediately retrievable by the applicants. I am trying to recall the previous procedures for processing through Hong Kong - I can’t imagine that the current passport left the possession of the applicant.
  7. What do you (both) actually want to happen in the event of her death. I can pretty much guarantee whatever that is, will not be achieved unless she makes Will.
  8. The rules of intestacy don't work like that
  9. There is no possible excuse for 15 days overstay.
  10. 30 days visa exempt entry at worst. Which can be extended by 30 days.
  11. Google MSIG travel insurance. A 2 minute job. Just done mine for my UK/Europe trip next year.
  12. If you need to ask that question you would not understand the answer. Now trot on and enjoy the holidays when they get here.
  13. Then there is no debate; there is no doubt - Brexit is the exact answer to the OP's question. What a waste of 51 pages when the answer is so clear.
  14. Yes. A friend who has PR has the same card as those on extensions.
  15. You are not prone to stereotyping are you?
  16. Such as..................
  17. Big man - you tell them. You are better off without that nasty Thailand. Yet you still feel the need to post on a Thailand internet forum ?
  18. I can't argue with that. But in an endemically corrupt country I guess you have to start somewhere. Usually the lowest hanging fruit.
  19. Now THAT sounds like contentment. Financial and emotional security, doing the (simple) things that keep you happy. Great to hear a really positive story.
  20. No we don't. "all" .....don't be so arrogant
  21. I hope the message is clear ...........overstay is illegal (and unnecessary), take the p!ss out of the system and arrest is the consequence of the offense.
