. Thanks. I have an O visa, retirement extension (if that makes a difference)....I was thinking of writing household goods or gift on it and having my address in Thai as well as English. Thoughts? So it will go right to the local yokel post office? Well, a 1000 baht bill should make me a new friend, as opposed to having to deal with customs.

. Respectfully disagree..... The cracks are what lend character, and the nice thing about concrete is if the buyer does not like it, it can easily be tiled over. I do agree with the difficulty of finding competent workers. That would require investigation and verification. The OP needs to find a small-scale completed project that looks great after a period of time, and contact the contractor.

. I'm having a friend ship a MacBook Air from the States. It is a month old, but in its original box, therefore it is "used." Since I've never had reason to ship anything, I'd like suggestions to avoid hangups and being overcharged by customs. Want to use original box as it's quite strong, but planned on putting it into another, plain box. Detest FedEx. Hate DHL. Thought I'd send it with USPS. It will be going to a rural area in the southeast. Do I need to pay any fees in person, or by card, etc? Approximate costs? Have at it......

. This looks good; just trying to figure out import fees and delivery time....

. Thanks. But I have to see someone in Bangkok. I get out of ASQ next week and will spend two more days in BKK, then I go south with a dog kennel and 9 boxes. Not something easily accomplished, so I need to see a doc while still in BKK.

Yes sir !, great idea. I know someone who parked under a coconut tree in his new truck, guess what happened , that's right one coconut fell and dented his truck. . I had laid down in the shade on a Puerto Vallarta beach years back and was napping contentedly when.... Yep, one big nut impacted a pair of smaller nuts. Talk about a rude awakening.

. Oh, he likes it alright, along with all his cronies..... He just doesn't want us to have any of it.

. ANA. Great experience. Took wonderful care of my puppy, and I had 9 cardboard boxes, 70 pounds each, that looked exactly the same on arrival as departure. One flight attendant actually sat down beside me and talked with me about my dog, for the better part of 10 minutes. She had seen my pup at the ticket counter. I feel bad for ANA. Garbage airlines like United and American seem to be back in business with their crappy service and crazed customers, but ANA has no passengers. 26 on my flight on a 777. Haneda was like something out of a Stephen King movie....just deserted.

. I flew in two days ago on a Japanese airline, stopped in Tokyo. Only time I wore a mask on the flight was when I moved about the plane. All the flight attendants were wonderful, didn't say a thing. At Haneda, I did not wear a mask at all. Police walked by and nodded hello and smiled. But back in LA the day prior to departure, a lot of people were double-masked, even when standing alone in the park on a windy day.....

. Sorry I can't help you but your word choice sure created an image in my mind....

. Have a funky mole appearing on my back, and having grown up a blond-haired dark-brown boy in Florida, want it looked at. Good dermatologist in BKK?

. Ah, yes, Body & Fitness, where the most recent post was in August, in a forum populated and fueled by aging beer guzzlers. Ah, well.....I tried. I also tried Lazada and others; no luck, but thanks.

. FINAL REPORT: Came into Swampy with 26 other people on my flight. I was last in line and watched all go through the process. Much faster than a year ago. More Thai staff than passengers. Most shuffled around while the four officials checking paperwork shuffled papers, made a show of how much effort it took, and went stamp, stamp, stamp, handed back the papers and pointed to the left. Not a word spoken for the most part. No one within my earshot was asked if they had a phone, let alone the app. And no, no one was refused entry for not having one. Only person that asked me about the app was the agent at the ticket counter in Los Angeles checking all the requirements for entry. She showed me a QR code and asked if I'd downloaded the app. I said nope. She shrugged and and handed me my boarding passes.

. Wouldn't being pro-human be better? -
. Your post doesn't strike a chord.... But I'll make a note of it, despite it falling flat.
